That evening, Ivy sat on the couch watching Midsomer Murders, even though she had seen all the episodes multiple times.
It didn't amuse her.
She couldn't stop thinking about visiting the cemetery today.
Somehow, it had unlocked all the memories she had tried to suppress."I..I..I'm going to die, aren't I?"
"He deserved it, Ivy."
"IVY WATCH OUT!"
Ivy was awoken from her train of thought when she heard her father call her name.
"Ivy?"
She turned around and started crying.
Jughead sat down next to her and hugged her, whispering she was okay.
"It's my fault Ben died, if I hadn't...then maybe he'd be..." she struggled to speak between breathing heavily.
"You couldn't have done anything." Jughead soothed her.
Ivy hugged her father even tighter and didn't stop crying.
"It's my fault..." she sighed, tears streaming down her face.
"I could have saved him, dad, yet somehow I didn't.."
Jughead looked her in the eye and placed his hands on her shoulders.
"It was out of your hands, Ivy. There's nothing you could've done."
Ivy nodded slowly, her father's words did kick some sense into her.The next day, Ivy had called Florian to go for a walk.
"Is that all we're gonna do for two weeks? Walk around Riverdale?" he joked.
"I don't know, I don't know anybody in this town who's planning on throwing a gigantic party, so... I guess we'll have to keep walking."
"Uhm, Florian... have you, by any chance, heard from Liz? Like maybe why she's not here with us?" Ivy continued.
Florian sighed and nodded.
"When I texted her about the whole reunion, she said she probably wasn't coming."
Ivy looked down, Florian noticing immediately.
"Not because of you, crazy, because of the distance and such."
The two walked on and Ivy eventually suggested to go the trailer park.At the trailer park, things were quite calm.
Sweet Pea and Fangs were sitting in their chairs however.
"Hey, Ivy!" Sweet Pea yelled as he saw her and ran to her for a hug.
"It's been so long, why didn't you come and say hi earlier?"
"I wanted to spend some time with this weirdo first." Ivy laughed as she pointed at Florian.
"Hey, Fangs." both Ivy and Florian greeted him. Fangs was still the same as he had been since they could remember.
"What do you say we have a party tonight? Invite the whole gang over, everyone here is happy you're back, they missed you."
Ivy thought about it for a moment, but just agreed as it did seem fun to have a party.
"Tonight."The entire trailer park was decorated with flags and candles of all kinds. There was music coming from several speakers.
The Serpents knew how to throw a proper party.
Ivy and her friends arrived and immediately Sebastian and Florian were going crazy.
"They're in for a wild night." Aurelia whispered to Ivy and then walked of with FP.
"We'll be at the bar!" Sebastian yelled.
Rebel sighed and smiled at this announcement.
"If they are hungover tomorrow, I'm not gonna help them."
"They'll be hungover, alright. I'll be surprised if Seb makes it till 11 o'clock." Ivy laughed.
Rebel walked towards the bar as well and Ivy was left alone. She felt her phone buzzing in her pocket.
"Hey, dad, what's up?" Ivy said as she answered the phone.
"Ivy, your mom and I are going to Greenville for a day or three, is that okay? You and your brother will be home alone for a while."
Ivy frowned and asked her father why this sudden decision.
"It's just... It's important, I'll tell you later, bye kid."
"Okay...." she said, confused.
She didn't think much of it, her parents had planned last-minute trips before. Two hours into the party, Sebastian, Florian and Rebel were drunk and showing of their dancing skills on the dance floor while singing "My heart will go on".
FP and Ivy sat at the bar, staring at their friends.
"I didn't know Florian was a tenor." FP joked.
Ivy laughed and took a big gulp from her glass of beer.
"They are crazy. My friends are fucking crazy." She continued laughing.
"Mom and dad left for Greenville, by the way."
FP frowned.
"Did they say why?"
"Nah, just said it was important, explain it later, blah blah blah..."
Ivy didn't finish as she suddenly saw a familiar face on the other side of the dance floor.
"Liz?"
