"Shawty bad with the Skechers on, wanna hold your hand, make you my girl, light up, light up, Skechers, light up, light up my world..."

George groaned. Seriously, Clay decided to wake him up with a phone call two days in a row? He reached over and answered the call, putting the phone up to his ear. "Hello?"

"Hey, George! You ready to record soon?" Clay greeted.

George frowned. Didn't they just record yesterday? What was Clay talking about?

"Did we plan to record today?" he asked, confused.

"Yeah, we were going to do the nether hunter versus speedrunner, remember?"

George was now thoroughly confused. "But we recorded that yesterday. I edited it and everything."

"What are you talking about? We haven't recorded anything in days, George."

"No, I remember recording yesterday." George stood up, going over to his computer. "I have the video right-" He broke off as he opened his editing program and saw the vlog, with the new video nowhere to be seen. "I- I could've sworn we recorded it..."

"Maybe you dreamed it," Clay suggested.

"Maybe. It felt so real, though!" George continued frowning, trying to understand the situation. He sighed. "Well, let me get dressed and everything, then we can record, okay?"

——

"Dude, that whole time, I was having serious deja vu!" George exclaimed.

"What do you mean?"

"I dunno, I just somehow knew everything you were going to do," George said. "It's like I said earlier, I feel like we recorded it yesterday."

"Maybe you're going crazy," Clay joked.

"Ha, ha. Bye, Dream."

"Wait, George, I wanted to ask you something."

"What is it?"

"Do you wanna meet up sometime?"

There it was again, that strange feeling that he'd already experienced what was happening. "What, like, sometime in the next month?" George guessed.

"Yeah, I'm free for about that time. How'd you know?" Clay asked.

"...Lucky guess, I suppose. I'll put some thought into it, okay? Bye, Dream."

"Bye." George left the call and sighed, leaning against his desk. What was wrong with him? First the call, then the recording, then the conversation afterward... maybe he really was going crazy.

He shook his head. No, there had to be some logical explanation. He opened a new browser tab and searched, "what causes deja vu". He clicked on the first article and scrolled through it. Apparently stress and exhaustion cloud the short term memory, causing the feeling of "this has happened before."

George thought over this information. He'd been waking up later and later every day; maybe he should put in an effort to get his sleep schedule back to that of a normal person.

With that in mind, he ate a light dinner and headed to bed. He tossed and turned for a while, his body having trouble relaxing due to only having been awake for a few hours, but he eventually went to sleep.
