George sighed as the call ended. Clay was right; there was no way to end the loop, so he might as well just accept it.

The question was, what would he then do? Nothing that took more than a day, obviously, but that narrowed his options a lot.

His eyes widened as he recalled something; it was a somewhat distant memory, given that it happened at the beginning of the loop. Dream had invited him to visit.

He shot out of bed and over to the computer, opening up a tab with flight options. Just as he remembered, there was a flight at 6, meaning he would arrive in Florida at 10pm Clay's time. That gave plenty of time for them to hang out before he woke up. George grabbed his phone and called Clay again.

"Hey, George! What's-" Clay started, but George cut him off.

"Dream, I'm coming to see you."

Clay stuttered for a moment before finally saying, "What? When?"

"Today! I just bought the ticket! My flight leaves in 3 hours! You'll be at the airport to pick me up, right?"

"I- I guess? When will you be here?"

"About 10 your time. I'll see you then, okay?"

Clay let out a wheezy laugh, along with a very confused "Okay?"

"Bye, Dream!" George hung up, laughing.

——

"Dream!" George called out happily as he ran toward his friend. He jumped into Clay's outstretched arms, laughing happily. "It's so good to see you!"

"It's great to see you too, George. What caused this visit, by the way? You didn't give me much of a warning," Clay said, also laughing.

"I dunno, I just wanted to visit you!" That was true. If he had to spend the rest of eternity stuck in a time loop, he might as well spend it with his best friend.

The two left the airport and brought George's suitcase to Clay's house before discussing what to do. They could play Minecraft, but considering that was pretty much all they did together, they both agreed to do something different. Most places were closed, so there wasn't anywhere they could go other than a grocery store and a few coffee shops.

Suddenly Clay's eyes lit up. "I have some rollerblades in the garage, we could try skating!"

George frowned. "Uh, I've never really rollerskated before..." he said, worried.

"Oh come on, it'll be fun! You can at least try it," Clay urged.

George sighed and gave in. "Fine, but you aren't allowed to laugh when I fall on my ass."

"Right, sure," Clay said, fully intending to do just that.

The two put on their rollerblades, Clay standing up and beginning to skate a little ways. George, meanwhile, stood up slowly, arms flailing awkwardly in order to balance himself. He pushed off from the wall, scooting forward a little before falling forward.

Clay caught him, holding him upright before he could hit the pavement face-first. "Wow, George, I didn't know you were this bad," he said.

George glared at him. "Whatever, you jerk, I don't need your help," he said before shoving Clay away and promptly falling backwards.

Clay doubled over, wheezes causing his whole body to shake. "Are you sure?" he asked through his laughter.

George rolled his eyes. "Just help me up."

"Do you want my help or not? You're giving me mixed signals here, George," Clay said as he grabbed George's hands and pulled him up.

Clay gripped George's hands, holding him steady. "Come on. Follow my lead," he said, slowly beginning to pull George around.

George was wobbly, but managed to stay upright with Clay's help. He was admittedly rather distracted, though; for some reason, the feeling of Clay's hands in his made his heart pound. He shook it off as just being nervous from not only being around his long-distance friend but also from trying something new.

No matter the cause, he looked forward to spending future loops with Clay.

We're FINALLY getting into fluff!!! I've been looking forward to this since I started this book lmao
