my dumbass self doesn't know how to write mythology so here's the fantasy au

The blonde walked through the forest, following the loud grumbles he had heard from where he was hunting. The sounds grew closer as he neared the oak tree he used to sit below, reading scrolls and watching dragons fly around before the war.

He stumbled on a root and fell on his face. Cussing, he dusted his pants off. "Fucking tree," he scoffed. He picked up the sword he had dropped and continued walking towards the sound.

A loud growl suddenly sounded behind him as he quickly spun around, clutching his sword in his hands. "Come the fuck out! I'm not afraid of you!"

A sharp red thing poked out from behind a large tree trunk as Bakugou raised his sword.

A huge head of a red dragon came out from the leaves as the blonde took a step back, his hands sweaty from holding the sword so tightly.

The dragon let out a low grumble as it took a step towards the boy.

He stood his ground as the dragon got closer, sniffing the air around him. The dragon let out a high pitched grumble and it began to glow.

The boy took a step back as the wind swept his hair to one side. It stopped glowing and what stood there wasn't the dragon anymore, but a human, a boy around his age with red spiky hair, two tufts stuck up like horns.

"Who are you?" the blonde asked, pointing his sword at the newly arrived boy. He found himself staring at the redhead's bare chest as his face grew a little hot. "What are you doing here?"

"What do you mean? I live here," the redhead responded. "What are you doing here?"

"I came to hunt for me and my friends," Bakugou replied, his arms beginning to feel tired from holding the sword in the same position for a while.

"Your friends?" the redheaded fuck's gaze flitted around the trees. "Where?"

"They're in some cave we live in," he told the redhead. "Why do you wanna know? Are you gonna turn back into your dragon form and hunt us down?"

"What?" the redhead exclaimed. "No! I wouldn't do that!"

"What's your fucking name then?"

"Kirishima," he replied, rubbing the back of his head. "You can put the weapon down, I won't hurt you."

Bakugou tossed his sword aside as he kept his glare on Kirishima. "Anyway, I thought dragons were extinct. Y'know, from the war and everything."

"Oh, yeah..." Kirishima looked down as his eyes drooped. The blonde noticed a scar on his right eye and furrowed his eyebrows.

"A scar..." he mumbled. Kirishima looked up at him, widening his eyes a little.

"Yeah, I accidentally activated my dragon form once when I was three. I was rubbing my eye," the redhead told him.

Bakugou nodded slowly as he bent over to pick his sword up, sliding it back in its case.

"So, what's your name?" Kirishima asked as they were walking back to the cave Bakugou lived in. He figured Kirishima wasn't that threatening and could come in pretty useful if they got in trouble, and he overall seemed too nice to hurt him or his friends.

"Bakugou."

"That's manly!" Kirishima exclaimed as they approached the cave opening.

"Tch," Bakugou scoffed as he led Kirishima into the dimly lit cave.

Bakugou felt Kirishima's arm brush his as the redhead scooted a little closer. Bakugou turned his attention to his companions all sitting around the common area of the cave.

His gaze flew back to Kirishima. "What, you never been around people before?"

"No, I have," he said quietly. "Just not this much."

Bakugou grunted. "This is a dragon I found somewhere in the woods earlier today."

"A dragon?" a dark haired nerd widened his sparkling eyes. "I thought they were extinct!"

"So did I, damn Deku," Bakugou retorted.

"Which part of him is a dragon?" another dark haired person asked from the far side of the area.

"He can turn into one," Bakugou informed them.

"This is very interesting," a blue haired boy said as he looked around for scrolls to write on. "How does he turn into a dragon?"

"I just... turn into one on command," Kirishima mumbled. "It's not that hard. My dad was a dragon and my mom wasn't, so I can just freely turn into a dragon at any time."

"That'd be resourceful," a voice sounded behind them as a boy with split coloured hair walked in, holding the lead rope of a white horse.

"You're not going to fucking use him, okay?" Bakugou snapped, pointing two fingers at Todoroki.

The boy blinked and continued to walk into the cave with his horse.

"What's he here for then?" Midoriya asked.

"Shut up damn Deku!" Bakugou yelled as he led Kirishima into his room. "Here's where you're gonna stay," Bakugou told him.

"Wow, you're living like cavemen," Kirishima pointed out, sitting down on some chair thing.

"We're runaways, okay?" Bakugou glared at the redheaded idiot.

Kirishima shrugged and sighed.

A few months passed and Kirishima and Bakugou only grew closer.

Bakugou opened his eyes, feeling a claw poke him. "Hm?" he lifted his head from the tree trunk he was leaning against.

A red dragon came into view as he smiled happily. "Hey Eiji," Bakugou said warmly.

Kirishima smiled and curled around Bakugou as the blonde rested his back on the dragon.

"When do you think we'll have to fight?" Bakugou asked.

Kirishima tilted his head and let out a small sound.

"We're gonna have to fight the villains," Bakugou told him.

The dragon began to glow and the huge dent Kirishima's dragon form had left on the grass was now occupied by a human with wings and a tail. "Fight? Villains?"

"Yeah," Bakugou rolled his eyes. "Didn't I tell you before?"

"Oh... right." Kirishima looked down and took a seat beside Bakugou.

"They sure are close," Todoroki observed, giving Yaoyorozu the hair tie that he had untangled from her hair.

"They have a really close bond," Yaoyorozu told him. "One that's unbreakable."

Midoriya nodded from beside then as a yell was heard in beside them.

"Shut the fuck up dAMN DEKU!" Bakugou yelled.

"Hey man, calm down." Kirishima held Bakugou's arm as the blonde struggled to hit Midoriya.

"Guys, look," Yaoyorozu's voice silenced the explosive boy.

Bakugou watched as Kirishima tilted his head towards the sky, a bright light illuminating his beautiful face. "It's a shooting star," the redhead said as he sat up.

"Ow." Bakugou fell backwards as Kirishima lifted his tail from behind him.

"Sorry," Kirishima said, not pealing his gaze from the sky as he closed his eyes.

Bakugou frowned and sat up beside Kirishima, glancing at the sky. I wish... Kirishima would always be happy, safe, and... I wish to be always by his side.

Kirishima folded his wings and leaned on Bakugou's shoulder. The blonde smiled gently as he gazed lovingly at Kirishima.

"Are we missing something?" Midoriya asked.

"Shut up damn DEKU!" Bakugou yelled as Kirishima wrapped his wings around him, apologizing to the green haired boy while calming Bakugou down.
