Chapter 10: Betrayal

NASH'S POV

I couldn't stop thinking about his warning. I know I made this agreement with him awhile ago for my own protection, but I didn't know it would be her. The nicest sweetest girl...I can't do this. In fact I'm not doing this. I will just quit our agreement and suffer the consequences. Besides, I'm leaving soon anyways so it won't matter...but still, I hope this works.

THALIA'S POV

Wow. What just happened. I can't believe that's who has been haunting me. And she's...me? A possessed, sharp-toothed demon is me? That's why she looked way to familiar. But I still can't process...

Walking back to the car, I still try to remember where else I've seen her. I know I've seen her...but...

"Thalia? Are you going to come in the car...?" Nash asks in a paranoid tone interrupting my thoughts. "Oh yeah um sorry," I say quickly hopping in the car. "Where are we going?" I ask blankly staring out into the distance. "I dont know...I guess we'll just go for a drive," he says darting his head in every direction.

--entering the freeway--

"Nash are you-"
"Thalia," he spat out the word like it was a curse as he looked at me. "Yes?" I quickly turned my body to face him.
"I'm sorry," he says with tears in his eyes. "Sorry for-?"

Just then, Nash rapidly swerves the car to the left, causing us to cross over the intersection onto the other side of the freeway. A ginormous pick-up-truck speeds head on towards us.

The last thing I hear are my own deathly ear-piercing screams of terror, before everything turns black...
