THALIA'S POV

Uhg. Where am I? What's happening to me? I can't feel anything, I can't move. My eyes won't open...Am I dead? No of course you're not you idiot, then you wouldn't be talking, erh, I mean thinking...if it even counts as that...

"Thalia, I know you probably can't hear me," I hear a soft raspy voice besides my own. Phew thank god I can hear someone besides myself, "But, sweetheart, we need you to come home," he starts busting out in tears, "please don't leave us, my dear sweet Thalia!! Don't leave us now!"

"Dad..." Another voice enters the conversation, "Dad, come on. We've been here for too long, and you need some sleep, let's go home." I know that voice. Dustin. So that must mean that the man he's talking to is my father...I wouldn't have realized, he sounds so different.

"Yeah, I guess you're right son, I love you Thalia, I will be back again tomorrow." I hear the door open, and the squeaks of his old tennis shoes exit through the doorway along with him. "Son, you comin?" He asks facing into the room, "yeah...I'll be there in a sec," more footsteps head my way until they stop right at my side.

"Hey uh, I just want to fill you in on some stuff that has been going on for the past two months that you've been asleep," woah wait two months?! "...people might think that you can't hear me, but I believe you can. I mean you always end up knowing everything somehow..." He lets out a small chuckle, memories overflowing his brain.

"So um, where should I start...okay so good news, you get your permit in a couple of months!" YESS!! I can't wait for that! "And um, that girl that had been messing with ya, Brittany? I think?" Uhg...HER. "Yeah anyways, well, she got expelled..." Really??!! Yay!

This whole updating process was all the normal stuff, great stuff about him and the rest of the family...and then the bad news came. "Well now you've heard all the great stuff...so I'm sorry but there also is some bad news," oh no...I hope it's nothing super bad.

"Well, you know that kid, Nash, who got you into this whole mess..." Oh right, how could I forget, "well i dont know how you feel about him, but he has 7 broken ribs, a collapsed lung, a mild concussion, and a broken leg, but he's still alive..." Wow that's pretty bad...I feel so... Wait a minute!! I don't feel bad! He's the one who did this! He did this to himself! It's all his-

"Anyways so that's what's going on with him, and for you... You're in a coma. And I'm talking to you and you probably can't even hear me anyways...great job Dustin that's real smart." No Dustin! It is really smart! I can hear you! I'm here!!!

"Well love ya sis, talk to you later." The footsteps return out of the door once again, and this time, they don't return.

NASH'S POV

"Good morning Mr. Grier. Glad to see that you're finally awake." What? Where am I? I try to move my arms up to stretch, but a sudden pain shoots through both of my sides. "Wait! Mr. Grier! I wouldn't do that! I'm afraid we have some bad news about your condition." "Condition?" I start, "what's wrong with me?"

"You were in an accident, and I'm afraid you have 7 broken ribs, a collapsed lung, a broken leg, and a mild concussion, I'm sorry. You will have to stay here for a while longer until you recover." No, no, no!! This can't be happening!! I'm supposed to be dead! And Thalia...oh, Thalia! No! This wasn't supposed to happen! I wasn't thinking!

"Excuse me, but um do you know a Thalia Summers?" I sit there eagerly, hoping she has the answer I wish for. "Oh yes, she's also a patient here." She replies, "what's her status? Is she alright?" Sweat drips down my forehead now, "um...she's still alive, for now..." "For now?! What do you mean?" She looks down slowly, "she is in a coma, she has been now for a few weeks; we don't know when she will wake."

My jaw drops and a look of terror spread across my face. "No!!" Instantly, I start unplugging random tubes full of strange colored liquids, and struggle to stand up. "Mr. Grier! Mr. Grier! No! Please! Sit down!" The nurse screams. "Have to. get to her." I say in between small, short breaths.

After realizing that I am unable to stand, I crawl to the big EXIT sign just to the left of my bed. The nurse must've called more doctors in to help her because I am pulled off of the ground and back into my bed. But that doesn't stop me. I struggle, swinging my fists with the last amount of energy I have left, hitting doctors and nurses in the process.

I'm almost there, almost to the door, until I feel a sharp pain that stands out from the rest, coming from the side of my neck. I flinch and scream in pain as the atmosphere around me fades into darkness...
