A war broke loose in Hermitcraft. A multitude of evil watchers flooding the world.

"Stop! Leave them alone!" Grian cried, his shackles keeping him from being able to move. "Stop! You're hurting them!"

"If you continue to beg for their release, we'll kill them immediately." The Watcher said pulling on Grian's wrist chains, making them dig into them more causing Grian to scream. The Watcher holding Grian let go as he was slammed to the ground next to Mumbo.

"I can't believe this happened all because of me." Grian cried.
"It's not your fault!" Mumbo protested, his chains digging into his arms.
"You don't get it Mumbo! I'm supposed to KNOW better.. I'm supposed to BE better! And it's all come tumbling down because I decided to stay away from the Watchers." Grian cried.
"Grian, it's not your fault!"

"Everything was so perfect this morning. Why did it all have to change?" Grian cried as he saw his friends being executed one by one right in front of him.

~Earlier that week~

"Grian.... Griannn." Mumbo called playfully. "Grian wake up!"

Grian groaned, "I'm up... I'm up.. What do you want? It's.. 6 AM!? Dude!"

"C'mon!" Mumbo said, literally dragging Grian out of bed.
"Woah, woah woah, Mumbo! Can I get my sweater on before you pull me out into the cold jungle?" Grian shouted as he pulled himself from Mumbo's grasp.
"Yeah I'll meet you outside man. We gotta gather supplies for the thing this Friday!" Mumbo said as he left Grian to get dressed.

As Grian was getting his sweater on, he walked over to his 'bathroom' (we're gonna pretend there's one in his hobbit hole.) and washed his face. He then felt a weird disturbance, and his eyes flickered purple.

"Ah...!" Grian yelped as he gained a pounding headache. He looked in the mirror and saw his eyes glowing. He rubbed his eyes and the purple glint was gone. Still freaked out he lifted up his sweater sleeve and saw his Watcher mark glowing.

"Grian? You okay mate?" Mumbo asked. Grian shook himself out of his thoughts and lowered his sleeve again. "Y-Yeah! I'm fine." Grian called walking out and seeing Mumbo with a worried look on his face. "You look like you've just seen a ghost mate." Mumbo said as he saw Grian looking more pale than usual. "I uh.. Nah, man. I'm good." Grian replied looking over his shoulder.

The two went to collect the materials they needed for the event on Friday. Grian was supposed to be building a bit of the building with Scar, BDubs, and Keralis. The four builders had taken a quick break from building the hall to ensure that they could get enough sleep for the next day.

While the group was building, others were bringing materials to the four. It had begun to get night again and there were phantoms in the sky. One of which landed on Grian's shoulder forcing him off the ledge he was working on.

"Get.. OFF." Grian yelled as he stabbed the phantom that bit the base of his shoulder watching it disappear into smoke particles. "You okay G-Man?" Scar called from above. "Yeah. I'm fine." Grian replied wiping the blood that had been exposed due to the bite. "Stupid phantoms." Grian muttered, flying back up to the top of the building. As he continued to place blocks, fighting phantoms, and worrying about what happened earlier, another headache hit him.

He winced and put his hand to his head. "You okay there Grian?" BDubs asked putting a hand on his shoulder. Grian flinched away and yelped as he did so, "Uh.. Sorry, yeah I'm fine, I just have a splitting headache."  "Maybe you should take a break.. We all should really." Keralis chimed in. Grian looked at the three other builders. "Yeah.. Yeah you're right. I'll be up early tomorrow to continue working." Grian said as he waved goodbye to the other builders and flew away.
