"Well uh..I gotta get going now,"
"Aw, already?"
"I mean, we've been here for at least six hours,"
"Wait, really?"
"Yeah," Ronan giggled, "if I don't go now Hugo will get mad at me again like last weekend,"
"What happened last weekend again?"
"You don't remember? We sat down and got some coffee in the afternoon and ended up sitting on that terrace until midnight,"
"Oooh right," Rave smiled, "that was fun,"
"Well when I got home like an hour later I came back to him panicking and he started yelling at me 'cause he thought I got kidnapped," he couldn't help but smile a little, "so now I always try to be home at least a little earlier,"
"Aww that's so sweet of you," it almost looked like he was about to shed a tear, "most parents would probably just tell their kids to wait longer, or just go to sleep..it's really nice of you to care about how he sees it this much," his smile got weaker, but he tried hiding the sudden change in his expression.
"Rave? Are you sure you're okay?
"What? Of course I'm okay, why wouldn't I be?"
"Oh, sorry if that came off wrong, I just..you seemed a little sad there for a second,"
"Nah, I'm absolutely fine, no need to worry about me, I'm the one who should be worried about you,"
"Just know that even the way things are now, you can always count on me if you need someone to talk to, alright?"
Rave gave him a sweet smile and nodded. "Didn't you say you had to go already?"
"Oh, right! Well, see ya tomorrow!" Ronan turned around and waved.
"See ya.."
(Can he still hear me from this far away?)
"..."
"..I love you.."...
Rave was sitting on the bed, his head in his palms. He wanted to scream, at least a little, but he didn't, because he thought someone might be outside and hear him. Everything was going so well. It's been almost four months, yet no one could still find the murderer, or suspect him. Him and Ronan have been getting along well, they were spending so much time together, and every weekend they found some time to go somewhere together, either to the quiet park, or even the always busy streets of the city to have some fun. Sometimes they just went to sit down somewhere and talk. They've gotten very close over the course of past few weeks.
But..(I should be feeling great..why can't I just..)
The closer they got, the more it caused Rave to think about what he had done to him and also Hugo. He always thought about how they felt. He hasn't been this close to anyone for such a long time. He assumed he just lacked empathy. That he can't regret his actions. He felt tears pressing his eyes from the inside, but couldn't bring himself to cry.
