Chapter 16

Y/n POV

"Y/n don't keep me waiting because for that is a price." Oyoto says playfully.

I say nothing and look him dead in the eyes.

"Y/n don't. We can do it together." Mitsuri says.

"I agree. Let's if be of some help." Gyomei says.

"No just stay back and protect the passengers. Stay in guard because one or the upper moons is on his way." I say.

Liones stays close to Shinobu and won't let anyone near her. I smile at him. Oyoto comes at me and our blades collide. The clouds spilt do to our power. I kick him into many mountains. I leap at him and we start to battle. I block his attacks with my sword. Our battle goes for a long time. I win and don't really get hurt. I let my true power show and beat him. He flees and I down in a field of flowers. I have a lot of his blood on me. It looks like I am dead but I am quite fine. Just mental tired. Those dreams I had on the train was horrible.

Later on

You know that what will be happening.

I open my eyes Ake see the crow leaving. My eyes widen. Know he will tell everyone I am dead. Shit!!!! I have to go. I realize it is day

3rd Person POV

Everyone was wondering where Y/n was. Shinobu was so worried. Kanae is trying yo calm her down. Tanjiro, Inosuke, Zenitsu and Rengoku are in the hospital ward. Aoi is nervous and wondering where he is. Same with Kanae and Kanao. Kaigaku is sleeping but having nightmares about his brother being killed. Liones is restless and looking for his master or best friend. The master and his children waited for Y/n to return. Y/n did a lot of social activities and helped the master a lot. Y/n praised him because he saw the good in Y/n when most didn't.

Most of the pillars are with the master.

"When will Y/n be coming back." Muichiro says.

"Sadly we don't know yet." The master.

"Don't we have people looking for him master." Mitsuri says.

"Yes we do." The master says.

Hopefully Y/n is ok, Mitsuri thinks. Shinobu is smiling but fear and anger burn through her. She fears Y/n is dead. The only one that gives her a purpose in this cruel world. Kaigaku comes out and looks for his brother.

"Y/n is still not back." Giyu says.

"I see." Kaigaku says

He gives a soft chuckle and walks away from the group. Sadness and fear boil up inside of him. He needs to find his brother.

"Where is his big cat. Maybe that jaguar can help us find him. He is probably fine." Inguro says.

"You don't know that do you Ignore." Shinobu says with a hint of anger in her voice.

"I don't care if he is your boyfriend. I will never trust that fool." Inguro says.

"That is enough!! Y/n is one of kindness guys I have meet in my life. Do don't trample on his name and legacy!!" Gyomei says angrily.

"Tch. Like I care." Inguro says.

"Y/n saved all of us. He saved me before. Don't me so rude." Mitsuri says

"It is his fault that we almost died." Inguro says

"That is enough!!" The master says.

Everyone is shocked.

"Y/n never wanted anyone to be involved in his business. You should not look down on him. Y/n has saved many in his life time. Y/n past with that man is more brutal than anyone can imagine." The master says.

Inguro is mad and sad.

"Look at what he does to everyone. So many people are attached to him." Inguro says.

He is about to leave. Shinobu can't hold back her angry. Neither can Kaigaku. He listened to the whole conversation. Kaigaku walks in front of Inguro.

"You are a fucking bastard!!! My brother is the kindest man alive. You have no idea what he did for me to survive. Even in poverty my brother made sure that all of us had food on our plates. Even when my father would beat the shit out of him........he still had on his smile and always told me and my brothers and sisters it was ok. He would make sure he would never hurt us!!! My family died a brutal and inhuman death. Their skin was ripped off slowly, he ripped out their eyes, organs, bones and kept them all alive. My brother was not strong enough but he fought back and almost died for us, for my fallen brothers and sisters!!! He shouldered this burden and the death of Kocho's family for most of his life!!!! What do you think of knowing that you fucking bastard!! I hope you rot in hell like my father!!" Kaigaku says with fury and rage.

Kaigaku punches him in the face.  Tears form in his eyes. The others are beyond shocked except for the master and Shinobu. Inguro is speechless. Shinobu will not let her self cry. Kanae hugs her.

"Now you know our past....." Kaigaku says

"I am sorry," Inguro says.

"Now you are sorry. My brother has done so much for others even when he is hurt or sad he always follows through." Kaigaku says.

And they is true. Mitsuri is very mad. How could someone say that Mitsuri thought. There is a long silence amount the hashira. Kaigaku sits down with Kanae. She pats his head and he blushes. The silence is soon gone by the crow.

"Emergency!!! Emergency!!" The crow yells.

Everyone looks up. Shinobu is praying her fiancé is ok. Kanae holds her hand but that is still not enough to ease the fear. Everyone is wondering where is Y/n and fearing the worst for their fellow hashira. The crow sits down.

"Is Y/n ok?" The master says.

There is a long silence again. The crow's demeanor changed. Sanemi is getting annoyed.

"Tell us already is he alright you stupid bird brain!!" Sanemi yells.

The crow steps back and look at Shinobu. He is holding something. He walks over to her and spits out a photo. It is of Y/n and Shinobu. She is trying so hard to keep her smile but all she can think of is how much suffering he felt in that moment.

"Y/n Kocho is dead. He is out in a field and peacefully died." The crow says.

Everyone knew that this was coming once the silence arose but no on knew it would hit this hard. Shinobu can't take it anymore and start sobbing. Kanae holds her closely. Kaigaku is beyond mad and crying. He walks over to Inguro. Mitsuri is crying and so is Gyomei. Giyu lets down a tear for his fallen comrade. Sanemi doesn't know what to feel at the moment. He feels angry, sadness and fear for what is to come next. The master is not smiling anymore. Kanae is crying for silently as she comforts her sister. Kaigaku punches Inguro again. Shinobu gets up and holds him back.

"There is no need to fight." Shinobu whispers.

"But...

"No buts. Y/n would not want this." Shinobu says.

She wipes her tears and puts on a fake smile. The smile that hides her emotions and how she really feels. Kanae sees how hard her sister is trying not to cry or let her emotions out. Shinobu walks back to her room. Kaigaku does the same.

"We will send out some of the demon slayers to pick up his body." The master says.

"Unless it is gone." Inguro mumbles.

Giyu has had enough and knees Inguro in the private area.

"You fucking idiot!!" Inguro says.

"No you are the idiot. Stop looking down on our comrade. Do you have any respect or decency." Giyu says.

Giyu leaves. The master even goes back into the mansion.
