" Yaar aap Mujhe ched kyu rahe ho? Abhi toh woh dhang se dost bhi nahi bani hai ", Sidharth whined.
" Maine kuch bola bhi nahi tujhe Sidharth. Nautanki mat kar", Maa said.
Haha! Another call with mom loaded with constant teasing. This was the best time of his day. Sidharth had been continuously talking about Shehnaaz for the last two days. Although she was happy, Maa still wished if things could sort out between Shreya and him.
She often did not let that thought overpower her mind because it was Sidharth who mattered the most to her. None but one thing was sure. She just couldn't let him move ahead with the feelings he had despite being in a marriage. That was wrong. Although Shreya did the same, she wanted her child to make a difference.
" Sidharth ab suno ", she said. The seriousness in her voice was quite well understood. "You just can not do this to Shreya ". Just a sentence and she fell quiet.
What? What could he not do to Shreya? Even after receiving such deep wounds from her, it should have been so obvious om his mother's part to not support her. Why was she doing this?, Sidharth thought.
" Uske defend kyu kar rahe ho aap? ", Sidharth asked her, shocked.
" I'm not supporting her Sidharth. Mai bas keh rahi hoon ki jab tak tu is shaadi mein hai, I won't let you cheat her", she stated. " Dekh beta, shaadi mazaak nahi hai. Usne bana rakhi hai, woh baat alag hai. Mai chahti hoon ki tu kuch galat na kare. Agar tujhe Shehnaaz ke saath aage badhna hai toh you can't be with Shreya at the same time", Maa added.
Sidharth nodded his head in disbelief. They weren't even that good of friends right now and she sat there idle, dreaming about the future. " Maa, I know what you are trying to say. Hum bas friends hain. There's nothing more than that", Sidharth said to her as he calmed down.
A matter of seconds and Sidharth smiled! " Ek second. Kya aapko koi problem nahi hai Shehnaaz se? ", he asked. It was just a few seconds back that she approved of him being with Shehnaaz on a condition. He squealed in joy as she denied having any issues.
Sidharth was sitting on a basket chair, outside his cottage while he talked to his mother. He was interrupted by Shreya as he said something on the phone. Shreya looked exactly like a water bottle which develops a curved bottom when kept in the freezer for a long time. Ryan had to same himself from following a number of times because of the way she stumbled and fell down being intoxicated.
Sidharth laughed at the jokers in front. They seemed to be hell bent on proving Sidharth wrong every time he thought they were worth something. Never did they fail to make a fun out of themselves.
" Sidharth has kyu raha hai? ", Maa asked him, confused. All she could hear was his laughs and some thumps of things falling.
He continued laughing as he said to her, " Arey kuch nahi. Bas gire hue log thoda aur gir gaye hain. Jao aap so jao warna sir dukhega ".
"Sidharth! ", she warned.
" So jao na Maa. Itna kya pyaar hai aapko usse. Please yaar", he said. Reminding him to take the medicines in time, she cut the call. Well, it was the opposite in their case. It was generally the children who tend to remind their old parents about the medicines but here, it was Sidharth who wouldn't have them until reminded of.
Shreya sat on the floor and kept looking at Sidharth. In no time she was on his lap. "Fevicol lagaya hai kya? " Sidharth was irritated as he tried pushing her away. Shreya brought her mouth infront of his and let out a breath which led to Sidharth's disgusting face. He felt like vomiting. " I smell so good. Haina baby? ", she said.
