Orangeblaze's jaws parted in a huge yawn. The sun was rising and he felt exhausted. But he didn't really care, he was finally a warrior! Orangeblaze turned his gaze to Redheart, noticing that he looked just as exhausted. Both of them had been in the battle in the middle of the night and they hadn't slept much at all.

Orangeblaze felt proud to watch over the camp after receiving his warrior name with Redheart, so his exhaustion had hardly been noticeable at all up until now. Orangeblaze wanted to ask if Redheart wants to go hunting after they get some sleep, but they were still on their silent vigil, so he had to stay quiet.

Finally, Yellowheart padded out of the warriors den and over to the two new warriors. "You two can speak now. Since the sun is up your vigil is over." Yellowheart meowed. Orangeblaze yawn again and shook his pelt. "I'm going to go get some sleep." Redheart meowed, turning to Orangeblaze.

Orangeblaze knee enough that Redheart could tell that he wanted to get some sleep too, but he needed to do something first. "I'll be there in a moment. There's something I have to do first." Orangeblaze mewed. Redheart nodded and padded over to the warriors den.

Orangeblaze waited until Redheart's pelt was out of sight within the warriors den before he padded off to the medicine cats den. Orangeblaze found Oliveleaf sorting herbs within the den, Bluepaw looking as though he had just woken up in a nest of moss.

Oliveleaf turned her gaze to Orangeblaze when he pushed his way into the den, a kind, warm look on her face. "Orangeblaze, you look exhausted. You should get some sleep." Oliveleaf meowed. Orangeblaze stifled a yawn before he responded. "I came to see Bluepaw." Orangeblaze meowed.

Oliveleaf's smile faltered for a moment, but she managed to keep a smile on her face. She must be trying to stay positive after what happened to Bluepaw. Orangeblaze thought. Bluepaw stretches in his nest before padding over to Orangeblaze.

"I'm fine Orangeblaze. Actually, I'm better than fine! My wounds don't hurt anymore. I can get back to training!" Bluepaw meowed cheerfully. She hasn't told him yet. Orangeblaze thought. A quick glance at Oliveleaf told him all that he needed to know. She hadn't told him because she must not want to be the one to crush his dream.

Orangeblaze kept a neutral look, making sure that any negative emotions that he looked like he was feeling would be from his own exhaustion. He padded over to Oliveleaf and whispered in her ear. "We need to talk. Out in the forest at sun high. This is about Bluepaw." He made sure that she knew that this was about Bluepaw so that she wouldn't say no.

Oliveleaf didn't say anything, she only nodded. Orangeblaze turned back towards Bluepaw, who had a confused and curious look on his face. "What were you whispering about?" Bluepaw meowed. Orangeblaze shook his head at Bluepaw. "I didn't whisper anything to her. I just cleaned off something that was stuck in her fur." Orangeblaze meowed.

Bluepaw looked like he was about to say something else but Orangeblaze cut him off. "I'm really tired. I'm going to go get some sleep." He meowed before padding out of the medicine cats den and over to the warriors den.

Orangeblaze padded into the warriors den as carefully and quietly as he could, not wanting to wake up any cats who were still sleeping, or Redheart if he had fallen asleep. Redheart was already asleep, so Orangeblaze padded over to a moss nest that was next to Redheart and curled up in it to sleep.

At sun high I'll talk to Oliveleaf. Orangeblaze reminded himself before he drifted off to sleep.

.............

Orangeblaze blinked open his eyes, the sun light shining in his face. He pulled himself into a sitting position and stretched in the nest of moss. Redheart was still asleep, curled up so that the sun couldn't shine in his face. There were no other warriors in the den anymore.
