{a few weeks later}

"And I said, that's not a monster, that's Nesta!"

Cassian threw his head back in laughter, while the rest of the Inner Circle remained unamused. Nesta quickly punched him in the gut, sending him to the floor and groaning in pain.

"Jeez, woman," The Illyrian muttered.

At the glare Nesta sent him, Cassian was quick to apologize.

I smiled at the duo's antics before turning my attention to Rhysand.

"Great story," he smiled sarcastically at Cassian.

Cassian shrugged, causing Rhys to roll his eyes. "As I was saying, Kallias has invited us all to a party he's hosting tonight."

Mor stood up abruptly and held a panicked look on her face.

"Tonight?!" She shouted. "How will I find a dress in time?"

"I'm sure you'll figure something out," Rhys chuckled.

Mor narrowed her eyes at her cousin before grabbing Feyre and I by the wrists. I sent a pleading look to Azriel as she winnowed us away into town.

Azriel laughed knowing I absolutely despise shopping.

I groaned and followed behind Feyre, Nesta, and Mor. Amren sent a look from beside me like she felt the same way and Elain giggled from my other side.

After looking around in multiple shops, Mor dragged our group to a cafe for lunch.

"So," Mor started in a teasing tone. "How's Azriel's wingspan," She moved her eyebrows up and down, Feyre nodding beside her.

I choked on my tea when I heard her question and shot them a glare. Feyre flinched under my look, but Mor remained smiling and looked at me expectantly since she was used to it.

"We're taking things slow..." I mumbled.

"Whyyy," Mor whined. "You've been taking things slow since you two met!"

"Maybe something will happen tonight," Feyre added, winking suggestively.

I drowned out their conversation as it moved from Azriel and I to Elain and Lucien's love life.

*a few hours of shopping later*

The second Mor winnowed me back to my room, I fell onto my bed exhausted.

I'm not going shopping with Mor for another century.

*knock* *knock*

"Come in," I shouted.

A head of golden brown hair timidly walked in and sat beside me on my bed.

"Um- Lorelai, do you mind helping me with my hair-" She asked, looking around shyly.

She was dressed in a beautiful, blush pink gown and already had her makeup done. In her hands were a bouquet of wildflowers and roses.

"Of course, Elain. I'd love to," I smiled at her.

She smiled widely and skipped over to sit on the chair at my vanity.

I gingerly brushed through her soft locks and began plaiting different sections. Once I finished doing an up-do, she handed me the flowers.

I delicately placed each bud in her hair, smiling at my finished product.

I took a hand-held mirror and showed Elain her hair, making her erupt into smiles.
