Author's Chapter Notes: Another short one :S

I walked home from school, alone, once again. It had been two weeks since Harry left. He hadn'tcalled, nor texted me. I watched him on X-Factor though. I almost cried when he didn't make it through boot camp, but they put him through with a group of other boys his age,and they would go through as a group. Harry had actually come up with their band name, which happened to be 'One Direction'. They were now on their way back from Spain. They had made it through the judge's house while singing 'Torn'. I watched the behind the scenes stuff as well. He seemed to be so popular there. Especially with all of the girl fans.

"Hayley?" I heard someone call from behind me.

I turned around to see Emily running to catch up with me. I put a smile on my face as she cameup to me, out ofbreath.

"HeyEmily." I smiled. "What's up?"

"Nothing. Just dying a little here." She breathed. "I don't remember running being so exhausting."

I chuckled at Emily before we set off down the street again.

"So? How's Aiden?" I smiled.

"He finally asked me to be his prom date!" Emily said excitedly. "Who are you going with?!"

"I don't know." I shrugged. "No one's asked me yet."

Emilyturned and frowned at me.

"You're lying to me!? Why?" she said quickly.

"How did you know I was lying?" I asked, raising my eyebrow.

"BecauseI know for a fact that Justin and Declan have already asked you, and James wants to ask you." She frowned atme.

I groaned, unhappy my lie didn't work on her.

"Why haven't you said yes to any of them?" Emily asked, her voice going soft.

"I don't know." I shrugged.

"Hayley..." she said quietly. "You're waiting for Harry aren't you?"

I snapped back from Emily, looking at her like shehad just slapped me. Well... the words hit me hard. She thought I was waiting for Harry?

"No. Oh no." I shook my head and waved myhands. "No way."

Emily gave me a sympathetic smile and continued to walk down the street. I put my hands in my pocketand followed her silently.

"Who do you think I should go with?" I asked quietly, breaking the silence.

"Justin's had a crush on you for a while and he's really nice. I think you should choose him." Emily smiled as if she was waiting for me to ask the question.

Justin was a really good looking guy. He had the dark, straight-ish hair, pale skin, a built, tall body and a white smile. He was the popular boy at our school, always captain or co-captain of every team he played on. Both he and Aiden. Although Aiden was like an opposite. He had tanned skin, blonde wavy hair and a skinnybut strong figure.

"Are you sure?" I asked.

"Hayley. I don't think Harry's gonna comeback from the X-Factor anytime soon..." Emily said quietly. "I thinkJustin's the best choice for you."

"Okay." I said quietly while pulling out my phone. "One second."

I dialled Justin's number. Hepicked up on the first ring.

"Hiya!" he said brightly.

"HeyJustin." I tried to say brightly. "Um... you know how you wanted to go to prom? With me?"

"Yeah! My question still stands. I'd be honored to have you as my date." He said smoothly.

"I'd love to go with you Justin." I laughed. "Thank you."

I heard him give a small breath of relief in the background.

"Great. So can I pick you up at 4? It's on Saturday and a few couples were going to go out a little beforehand. Emily and Aiden are going as well." He asked a little nervously.

"That's perfect. I'll see you at school tomorrow okay?" I grinned.

"Okay. Bye Hayley." He said happily and hung up the phone quickly.

I shut myphone and slipped it back into my purse.

"There you go Emily." I smiled. "I'm going with Justin."

"See? Doesn't that make you feel better!?" she grinned widely.

"Actually... you know what? It does." I grinned back at her. "I actually feel a lot happier than I have in the past two weeks."

"Good! Now we get to go dress shopping!" Emily cheered.

"Oh my god! I completely forgot! We only have ten days to prepare!" I said hurriedly.

"Okay! We need a game plan." Emily laughed. "You know... to be honest I never thought I'd be doing this with you."

"Well... we need to make a lasting impression right?" I laughed.

"On the school and on Justin." She winked.

"Did you say Justin had a crush on me before?" I asked timidly.

"Yeah... ever since you moved here actually." She shrugged.

"Really?" I asked.

I could feel my cheeks growing red.

"Yeah. I bet he's really happy you accepted." Emily smiled, stopping outside a store while looking in the window.

I never knew Justin liked me. I guess if Harry's definitely not an option any more,Justin would be a close second. I doubt Harry would even remember me after this X-Factor experience. He hasn't bothered to try to call... or have any communication with me. So with that last thought of Harry, Emily and I went into the store, looking for a new dress to show off at prom.
