Author's Chapter Notes: I'm really sorry. It's kind of short.
Harry stood there in shock. I wiped the tears from my face before turning away from him.
"There... now you know." I muttered.
"I-I..." Harry stuttered, reaching out to take my hand.
"Don't even." I said, pulling my hand out ofhis reach.
"Hayley..." hesaid quietly.
"No... it was nice to know what you thought of me." I shookmy head.
"Hayley... I-I didn't-" he started.
"Have a nice life Haz." I mumbled before taking off into the crowd.
I heard him calling me from a distance, but I didn't bother to turn around and look. I ran up to Justin who was laughing with Emily and Aiden.
"Hey Justin; you can stay if you want but I'm gonna go home okay?" I said quietly.
Justin turned around quickly and bit his lip as he saw me. He pulled me into his arms and hugged me tightly.
"I'll be glad to take you home Hayley." Hesaid quietly in my ear. "C'mon."
I looked over at Emily who gave me a sympathetic look.
"I'll text you Hayley." Emily called as Justin lightly walked me through the crowd.
Justin's arms tightened around me as if he was protecting me from all of the drunken dancing seniors around us. I squeezed my eyes shut and letJustin lead me through the crowd.
"Justin..." I whimpered.
"Yeah?"
"What time is it?"
"It's..." he looked at his watch. "Wow... One-thirty. We'd have to go about now anyways."
"Okay thank you." I said quietly.
Justin led me into a taxi and shut the door tightly behind us. I leaned on his shoulder and snuggled into his chest. I didn't want to see the world right now... I just wanted to stay in the dark forever. Justin tightened his arms around me; holding me securely in his arms. With in minutes, the taxi pulled up out front of my house.
"Let me pay this time..." I said shyly while untangling myself from his arms.
Justin just bit his lip and let me hand the driver my money.
"Thank you sir." I smiled.
"I'm just going to walk her to her front door; then if it's alright you can drive me to my house." Justin told him.
The driver nodded and smiled at us as we got out of the car. I held Justin's hand as he walked me to my front door. I turned around to face him asI stood in front of mydoor.
"Thank you so much for tonight Justin. I had a great time. And I'm sorry for ruining your fun for the end of it." I said shyly, looking down at my feet.
"Hayley... you didn't ruin my evening atall. I had a great time with you. Honestly." Justin said, taking my hand.
"I don't think so." I chuckled.
"I do..." Justin whispered, leaning towards me.
I panicked. I've never had my first kiss... and I'm not sure Justin was the right one. Before I could protest, I felt Justin's lips press against my own. My heart hammered against my chest. I stood there, rigid. I didn't know what to do. As soon asJustin pulled back, I felt my heart beat slow down. I heard a car slowly drive down our street, stopping right outside our house. As soon as I saw the car; I knew whose it was; and I couldn't care less.
"I'm-I'm sorr-" Justin started.
I cut him off and pressed my lips to his once more. This time we were a lot freer. I slid my arms around his neckas he hugged my waist to his. When we broke apart,I rested my head on his chest and hugged him tightly. Justin rested his head on mine.
"Thank you for tonight." I said softly.
"No, thankyou." Justin smiled into my hair.
I waved good bye with a smile on my face. He grinned goofily and got into the taxi before waving one last time. I watched him pull away from myhouse. As soon as he was gone I dropped my smile. I never thought I'd have my first kiss with Justin. Actually... I never gave much thought to who I'd have my first kiss with. I guess this was better than nothing. I looked at the car still parked right in front of the house. I sighed and turned around, walking into my house. My phone buzzed in my purse, and I pulled it out to lookat it.
Harry Styles: Why'd you kiss him? After all that... you kissed him?'
I sighed before sending a text back.
'I couldn't do anything about it Haz. I'm sorry. This was never going to work out anyways.'
Harry Styles: 'Don't-don't say that.'
'Harryplease. Just... just don't.' I typed quickly, tears streaming down my face.
And with that... Harry didn't text me again. I burst out crying as I collapsed on my bed.
