I WAS SITTING AT A TABLE, EATING A LATE LUNCH WITH CAROLINE,
brantley got called in for a meeting so we had to postpone our meeting.
"hold on."i mumbled, as my phone started ringing, and it was kingston.
"what's up king?"i asked, and i could hear sobs on the other end of the phone.
"bronny fell off the swings and hurt her leg."kingston panted, and i shot straight up.
"what park are you guys at?"i quickly grabbed my stuff, and bronwyn's sobs got louder.
"i'm taking her to urgent care, meet me at the one closest to your house"he explained and i hummed before running out.
"caroline ive gotta go ill pay you back later."i quickly yelled, and she nodded before i raced out to my car.
"kingston let me talk to bronny."i connected my phone to my bluetooth and i heard bronwyn sobbing.
"hey baby girl, deep breath in and out," i told her, and she tired to, but her sobs just got louder.
"it hurts mommy."she cried, and i sped through a yellow light.
"yes baby i know but you've gotta calm down sweetheart."i explained, and i felt my heart rip out of my chest when she cried out while kingston tried to get her buckled in.
"i know baby i know."i tried to console her, but she just cried harder.
"are you almost there?"kingston asked, and i hummed, pulling into the parkinglot.
"we'll be there in a few minutes."

"MOMMY WHY CANT I HAVE A COLORFUL THINGY ON MY LEG?"
bronwyn asked as i carried her out of the urgent care later that night, and i gave her a smile.
"because we're gonna go see another doctor who's gonna get you into a better cast."i explained, and she nodded, lying her head on my shoulder.
once we got to my car, i buckle her in, and kingston said his goodbyes to her before giving me a sadden look.
"im so sorry carter, i didn't think she'd jump off the swings and i-" i stopped kingston, and gave him a tight hug.
"king dont worry about it, i'm not mad at all."i explained to him, and he nodded.
"i've gotta go take her to the ortho tomorrow and see if she needs surgery or not."i explained, and he nodded, giving me a tight hug, before the two of us left.
"mommy, what time do we have to leave tomrorow?"she asked, and i looked in the rear view mirror, giving him a smile.
"probably around ten, so we can go to mommas rehearsal."i smiled, and she nodded before we jammed out to luke combs recent song.
