A few days later, the gang suggested they all go to Karaoke Dokie, since they hadn't been there in a while and they missed their food and music.

Beck and Jade thought it was better than a party, so they reluctantly agreed.

Once they got there, they found their friends sitting at a table. They made their way over to them and sat down, and Cat squealed happily.

"Yay, you're here!"

"We're here kitty," Jade nodded, feeling guilty that she hadn't hung out with her best friend in a while.

"Y'know," Tori spoke up, causing Jade to roll her eyes before she even said what she wanted to say. "They're doing a singing competition tonight. I was planning on performing."

"Nobody asked," Jade scowled, her eyes examining her black nails.

"And nobody likes you," Tori shot back, irritated.

Jade shrugged. "Beck likes me. Cat likes me. I think that's enough."

"I don't know why they like you," the brunette muttered under her breath before taking a sip of her soda.

Jade rolled her eyes again and Beck wrapped an arm around her waist protectively.

"Anyways," Tori continued her speech, when obviously nobody cared except for maybe Andre, who had a crush on the Latina. "I'm singing tonight. Maybe I'll win."

"Or maybe not," Jade said smiled sarcastically at her. "I'm singing too."

Tori wrinkled her nose. "Can you even sing? I've never heard you sing before."

Beck chuckled, bringing his drink to his lips. "Oh, she can sing alright."

Cat giggled, nodding in agreement. "Yep!"

Tori shrugged it off. "Well, the audience will be the judge of that."

Jade nodded. "Yes they will be."

Tori then stood up and rushed off to the DJ, whispering something in his ear, making him nod as she made her way onto the stage with a microphone in hand.

The music started playing, and the brunette began singing a Beyonce song that was obviously too hard for her to sing. She wasn't bad, but she wasn't great, either.

As she finished the song, the audience clapped and cheered. Of course they would, the Latina could obviously sing very well. But she wasn't the best.

Then it was Jade's turn to sing, and the goth walked up the stage, whispering in the DJ's ear as well, grabbing the same microphone that Tori used.

When the music began playing, she began singing.

"You like New York City in the day time
I like New York City in the night time
You say you like sleeping with the air off
I don't, I need it on

You like the light coming through the windows
I sleep late so I just keep em all closed
You ignore the music on the radio
I don't, I sing along

I don't ask for you to change
Baby, no, no, no
And you don't ask for me to change

Tell me how we're not alike
But we work so well, and we don't even know why
Funny how the stars crossed right
'Cause we work so well, and we don't even know why
You can call it fire and ice
But we work so well, and we don't even know why
We don't even know why, no, no
We don't even know why, no, no, no

It's cold outside and you're just in a t-shirt
I have cold blood even in a sweater
You start your nights sippin' by the kilo
I don't, I know you know

I don't ask for you to change
Baby, no, no, no
And you don't ask for me to change

Tell me how we're not alike
But we work so well, and we don't even know why
Funny how the stars crossed right
'Cause we work so well, and we don't even know why
You can call it fire and ice
But we work so well, and we don't even know why
We don't even know why, no, no
We don't even know why, no, no, no

Somehow we end up on the same side
And you wouldn't think that we'd be alright
Even our eyes are different colors
But we see fine

Somehow we end up on the same side
And you wouldn't think that we'd be alright
Even our eyes are different colors
But we see fine

Tell me how we're not alike
But we work so well, and we don't even know why
Funny how the stars crossed right
'Cause we work so well, and we don't even know why
You can call it fire and ice
But we work so well, and we don't even know why
We don't even know why, no, no
We don't even know why, no, no, no

We don't even know why."

The music stopped, and the entire restaurant erupted into applause, clapping and cheering loudly than what they did for Tori.

Jade smirked and handed the DJ back the microphone, walking down the stage and back to the table.

Beck kissed her cheek as she sat down, and Cat clapped happily for her best friend.

Tori huffed and rolled her eyes, embarrassed that Jade could sing better than she could.

Jade didn't care about what Tori thought, though. All she cared about was what Beck thought.

"I loved it," he murmured softly in her ear, and she smiled up at him.

Brown eyes stared into blue, and she chuckled softly to herself.

There eyes were different colors, but they could see just fine.

-----

Idk I just wanted to write another chapter so I wrote this.

The song used was Why by Sabrina Carpenter btw, I thought it fit Beck and Jade's relationship perfectly.

And ik that Tori is being a b word (me trying not to cuss) but Tori has always annoyed me and I just don't like her character that much. I have nothing against Victoria Justice, I think she's amazing, but her character Tori just isn't it for me.

Make sure to comment your thoughts!

Until next time!
