You could have heard a pin drop.
The room tumbled into a shocked silence. Every head whipped around to face the individual who had spoken those very last words.

"I mean," Jimin chuckled, shrugging to release some of the thick tension that had encompassed the small space. He shuffled uncomfortably within his space on the sofa. "It wasn't as if none of you had thought it at some point... Surely? I hadn't kept it that quiet." His heart pounded as once more as he was met with increasingly distressing silence. Did they hate him? His mind raced uncontrollably. Had he misunderstood how his brothers would react?

Then, slowly, a grin formed on each of his friends' faces.
"Barrel hug!!" Taehyung screamed loudly, launching himself at Jimin despite having known his friend's sexuality long before that moment.
And as if a switch had been flicked, he suddenly found himself pinned under five other members of BTS, all equally sharing the same goofy grin and laughing as they fought to give the contemporary dancer the largest hug.

Five.

The members slowly toppled off one another, collapsing around the room breathless from intense laughter. Five. He noted again. Unable to resist flickering his eyes over to a silent Jungkook.
He was still seated in the same place he had been before Jimin's comment. His hands tightly clenched the edges of the sofa arm rest, his face deathly pale as he stared towards Jimin with wide eyes, his mouth seeming to slightly tremble.

From his recent outburst, Jimin had assumed the maknae would have been the most understanding...? Did... He... Not... ? Jimin's stomach began to feel sick at the thought, his hands trembling.
"Jungkook..." Taehyung called out warily, concerned for his reaction. All eyes soon found their way to observing Jungkook anxiously, each wondering the same thing. But as he became aware of every pair of eyes fixated on him, his breathing began increasingly rapidly, his fingers gripping the edges of the sofa so fiercely they were becoming a shade of purple.

No one could stop him as he raced out of the room.

Jungkook couldn't breathe. Was the air thinning? His heart was racing uncontrollably, an awkward pain throbbing across his chest as he heaved in deep breaths of air. Around him, staff members of the radio station gave him wary glances, but no one seemed to want to approach him.
It was as if they all knew... They were all disgusted... They had heard everything- Why had he even brought it up?! But Jimin had admitted... He lurched, the build up of thoughts making his head spin.

"Breathe Jungkook!" A hand clamped onto his shoulder and forcefully guided him into an empty room before he could protest otherwise. "Listen to my voice," the newcomer muttered, "Inhale... And exhale..." Slowly, as the voice continued in a calm, melodic tone, Jungkook found himself calming down. "You alright?"
Taking a final deep breath in, the youngest dropped to the floor, covering his hands in embarrassment.

"I'm sorry-" he mumbled.
"Hey-hey Kookie stop! Stop okay? It's alright." The maknae glanced into Yoongi's concerned eyes as the older crouched beside him, two confident hands placed firmly on both of his shoulders. After a moment to ensure Jungkook wasn't going to elapse back into a panic, the elder sat himself cross legged on the floor in front of him.

"Sorry." Jungkook mumbled again, "Thank you, " he added hastily, "We should go-"
"-No, can we talk? The car won't be here for a while still."
Although seeming reluctant initially, Jungkook suddenly felt incredibly comfortable sitting in front of Yoongi. The older's hands gently rested on each of the younger's thighs as he sat cross legged, attempting to maintain some sort of physical contact that might aid in keeping the main vocalist calm.
