Alisha arrived in the parking lot of the community centre, tired and anxious. She noticed that the others were in the same state as they were standing in silence with huge bags under their eyes.

"Did any of you get any sleep last night?" She asked.

"No." Kelly mumbled.

Jade stifled a yawn as she let her head drop against Nathan's shoulder. He looked down at her and sighed.

They stayed up all night talking and playing board games they found at a garage sale a week ago, they had to take their mind off of the fact that they might get arrested in the morning.

"We would've been arrested by now if she'd find the bodies." Simon said.

Nathan shrugged, and it disrupted Jade as she removed her head from his shoulder. "Maybe they're waiting until we're all together."

Kelly glared at him. "Why would you say something like that?"

"What time does she usually get here?" Curtis asked.

"Around eight o'clock." Simon answered.

They waited a few minutes in silence, it was almost eight, and Jade could feel her guts twist in nervosity.

Their blood froze when they head a car engine, and they went to hide behind bushes. Sally's car arrived in the parking lot, alone.

"She didn't look in the boot." Simon sighed in relief.

"We're gonna be okay..." The corner of Nathan's mouth twitched up. "We're not going to prison!"

"She's going to get out of the car, walk to the boot and find the bodies." Curtis blurted in alarm.

"How do you know?" Simon asked.

"It's already happened once."

Jade gulped as her heart picked up in speed.

Nathan scoffed. "So now you rewind time?"

They all started to panic as Sally left her car and made way towards the boot.

"Jade, make a distraction with your powers!" Kelly said.

Jade focused her mind on creating an illusion, Tony appeared behind Sally as her hand laid on her car's boot.

"Hey, Sal-" He flickered off before finishing his sentence, and Sally whirled around in surprise.

"Fuck." Jade sighed as she tried to calm her nerves.

"Make him come back." Alisha said.

"I can't, I'm panicking too much." She cried.

She felt the anxiety rise up in intensity as her powers failed her, and she was gasping for air as she tried to focus her mind on creating another illusion.

Suddenly she felt a comforting hand pat her back, which belonged to Nathan. He then quickly retracted it as he left his hiding place with the others, grabbed a rock and threw it at her windshield.

The rock crashed against the car, smashing the windshield. The sound startled Sally as she looked back and gasped.

"What the hell are you doing?!" She yelled as she went to check the front of her car. "Are you mentally deficient?!"

He shrugged with a smirk."If I was mentally deficient, I would have missed. Check that out. Bull's-eye!"

Jade sighed in relief, and she chuckled. She was admirative at how Nathan managed to be cocky and funny in every situation no matter the gravity.
