Chapter 20: The First Duet of Many

Lia POV

"Holy crap Niall is that you?" my eyes widen at shock at the third grumble of one's belly. It sounds more like an earthquake, if you ask me.

"I'm hungry," he complains, pouting his lips at me.

"We just went through a McDonald's drive thru!" I mean we did, and he ordered two big macs, two large fries, 3 cokes and a dessert. And then he asked me what I wanted!

"But I'm hungryyyyyyyy," he moans, pushing his head onto my shoulder like a baby. I mean he was adorable, so he could be the baby of the group. JEESH what am I even talking about?

"Ugh jeesh, KFC drive through Mr. Clark?" I ask the driver. He was a sweet old man, around his 70s. I can't believe he can even stand to be around these weirdos.

"Sure thing," he replies, changing course and heading over to KFC.

"Thank you!" Niall chimes and kisses my cheek briefly.

My cheeks blush against my will.

Harry POV

"Oh come on Lia's voice obviously fits mine," Louis states again. We had been debating over who would do the duet...do the duet hehehe....well who would duet with her out of the five of us. And we're just coming up with more and more reasons why one of us should be the chosen one.

That kind of sounds destiny-like.

"Boys! I'll pick when she comes here!" Mike, our recorder interrupts the squabble. "I haven't even heard her voice yet!"

"The voice of an angel," Louis sighs.

"Definitely," Zayn agrees.

"Obviously," I remark.

"Surely," Liam chimes. Finally we've agreed on something!

"Hey guys!" a voice calls into the room. We all turn to see Lia and Niall coming through the door, carrying bags of KFC.

"Lia!" Louis practically yells, running over to her and hugging her. Damn, I've been replaced.

Jk he's my bae.

"KFC!" I launch myself at the bags.

"Oi! That's mine!" Niall yells, taking my bag away. Niall and his food, you can never tear those apart. What do fans call them? OTC? One true something? I'm not sure, better check tumblr for that.

"Oh Niall share please," Lia pouts. Surprisingly, Niall gives her a bag, giving her a sweet smile. The special smile.....Niall just gave her the special smile!

"That's not possible with Ni-" Liam starts, "well I take that back."

"She did ask," he explains. Oh yeah sure sure. All because of asking.

"We do ask yet you still don't share," Zayn murmurs from the couch. He's been taping away on his phone at every chance he got. Twitter maybe?

"Alright!" He gives in, handing out the bags. We put them all over the table and start to dig in.

"Hey! You guys can't eat greasy stuff! One of you still needs to duet with Lia," Mike steps out of the booth.

"Right," I confirm, "so who'll it be?"

"Shouldn't he hear me sing first?" Lia asks, pulling away from Louis slightly. He's like a koala on a branch, he just won't let go of her.

"Finally someone who understands!" Mike breathes out, coming over to Lia, "and you must be he famous Lia."
