Chapter 26: (BTS Cam) Filming the MV

"She's wearing what?!" Jimin exclaimed. Gale burst out laughing, finding it super amusing how her oppa was more bothered by her costume than she was.

It's been a few days they arrived back in Seoul, and since then it's been work, work, work. In the mornings BLACKPINK would do photoshoots and CFs, as well as rehearsing for their comeback, and BTS would rehearse for their anniversary special. In the evenings they would do their own solo projects- Gale and Jimin meeting every night to practice their dance until finally, it was time to film it.

The stylist had just revealed to the pair their costumes for the music video. For the first half, both were going to wear white, to symbolize purity and innocence. For Jimin, the same outfit he wore for the short film, and for Gale, a simple white dress. For the second half, Jimin will be dressed in black to represent the corruption of man, while Gale will be transformed into a snake.

With body paint.

Of course she would have to wear some underwear to protect her modesty, but it was a lot less than what Jimin had ever seen her in. Gale, on the other hand, seemed to be completely unbothered.

"How long will the body painting process take?" She asked the stylist as she followed her into the makeup area. Jimin stood there, frozen with shock. However, he snapped back to reality when another stylist passed by him, wheeling the rack of costumes that they will be wearing. Jimin's face turned completely red as he caught a glimpse of the tiny piece of clothing that Gale would be wearing.

He ran to the makeup area and got there just as the stylist handed Gale her costume.

"You're okay with this?" He asked her. She shot him a confused look.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, it's just that-" Jimin coughed and shifted his eyes, trying to think of a way to explain his thoughts without sounding like a pervert. "-there's so little of it."

Gale couldn't help but giggle at Jimin's concern.

"I'm used to these kinds of costumes oppa. Besides, stylist-eonni said that it wouldn't even look like I'm nearly naked. My whole body is going to be painted so I'm going to be completely covered."

"Yes but-" Jimin's mind flashed through the entire choreography. He hadn't realized how much touching was involved until, well...

"If you're uncomfortable, we can have her wear the leather suit instead, but it would constrict her movement. We considered latex and spandex but we couldn't make it look like realistic snakeskin." The stylist said.

"Well, personally I'm cool with it, but it is your MV oppa." Gale answered.

Jimin shook his head, trying to keep his thoughts from straying into dangerous territory.

"N-no, it's alright."

"Okay, if we're all set we should start with your makeup. Jimin-ssi, if you'll just go ahead and follow Jieun-ssi. I'll be with you in a minute." The stylist told Jimin, gesturing to her assistant. "Gale-ssi, please come with me."

Gale waved a quick goodbye to Jimin before following the stylist to a small room and was quickly told what was going to happen. Since the director wanted to film the "dark" half of the MV first, that meant that Gale was going to spend the next few hours getting her body painted while Jimin shot his solo scenes. If there was still time after that, then they were gonna move on to the "light" half. She then introduced Gale to three people- Miyoung, Joonjae, and Hyesong- who were going to do her body paint and as soon as the introductions were over, she left the room to attend to Jimin, telling Gale that she was in very capable hands.
