Chapter 33: ST4RLIGHT

I have been Park Jimin's girlfriend for three weeks now, and so far, everything has been perfect- except for the fact that we haven't been able to spend time together.

Both of our groups have been incredibly busy lately. BTS was preparing for their comeback, and BLACKPINK was still promoting As If It's You Last. The last time we saw each other in person was last week during a music show, and we couldn't exactly act like a couple then or else we would have another dating scandal on our hands. All we did was share a brief smile when our eyes met, and we couldn't even smile at each other for too long.

It's so hard to date as an idol.

Or was it hard to date in general? I wouldn't know. I have no experience.

It's like the universe was playing a trick on us- we've seen each other less than when were still just friends. I wouldn't want to go back though. I love Jimin-oppa so much.

We try to make up for our lack of time by texting and calling each other when we could. Speaking of which-

"Yeoboseyo?" I said as I answered my phone.

"Annyeong jagi." Jimin-oppa's voice greeted me. "Ah, I still love saying that."

I smiled. I still loved hearing it too.

"Good morning." I giggled. "What are you doing right now?"

"I'm with Namjoon-hyung and one of our producers. We just finished recording a solo song for our comeback album." He said. I glanced at the clock on my nightstand. It was 11AM. If they're already finished recording, they must have started quite early.

"Can I hear some of it?" I asked.

"It's supposed to be a secret~" He sang.

"Even for your girlfriend?"

"What do I get if I sing for you?" He asked playfully.

"Hm..." I hummed, pretending to think. "A kiss?"

"How can I resist that?" He chuckled, then his voice turned soft. "But I want to sing it for you in person."

The emotion in his voice when he said that pinched at my heart, making me miss him even more.

"Jimin-ah~"

"Jagi, when you say my name like that..." He trailed off teasingly. I felt the blood rush to my cheeks. Jimin-oppa had become more flirtatious ever since he became my boyfriend, but it was in a cute way, since he always became shy right after.

I coughed, trying to change the subject.

"So you're free now? Want to have lunch together?" I asked hopefully. My next schedule was at one o' clock so we could make it if we eat fast.

"I'm sorry, but I still have something to do." He replied. "We have to help ST4RLIGHT rehearse for their debut showcase."

Oh, right. ST4RLIGHT, BigHit's new girlgroup, was set to debut in four months. I've met them once before during the filming of the Lie MV, and they seemed pretty nice. They approached me after filming and told me that they were huge fans of BLACKPINK.

Bang-PDnim wanted BTS to closely mentor ST4RLIGHT in hopes that their success would also rub off on them. He didn't want this new girlgroup to end up like BigHit's previous girlgroup. It was nice I guess, it meant that BigHit was really a family, but it also meant that I saw Jimin-oppa less often because they were spending time with ST4RLIGHT.

I wasn't jealous. I just miss him is all. I also miss the other boys. I haven't really hung out with them since the ball.

"Oh. Maybe next time."
