Miri drank happily from her glass of water and reclined back in the office chair. A smug smile was visible on her face as Detective Rasmus glared at her from across the table.

"Back to the discussion," He cast a glance to Aizawa. "Miss Shotomoto, where were you last night?"

Miri opened her mouth to speak, then closed it. She looked at Aizawa.

He gave her a nod.

She turned back to Detective Rasmus. "I was with a group of friends. We were in Kamino Ward. We were...we were going to rescue our friend who had been captured by the League of Villains."

Detective Rasmus gave her a long, hard stare. "Miss Shotomoto, do you take me for an idiot?"

Miri gave him a look and opened her mouth to respond, but a sharp kick under the table from Aizawa told her otherwise. "Uhm...I don't make it a habit to judge anyone's mental capacities, detective."

"Good. Now, I suggest you tell the truth about your whereabouts last night. I don't want to have to pull the lie-detector in here." He held his pen in his hand and began writing things down on the notepad in front of him.

"I wasn't lying. There are several Pro Heroes who can place me in Kamino last night. I was there watching All Might fight the wrinkly guy on the big screen." Miri grasped for any other explanation. "You know what? Bring the lie detector in here. I'm telling the truth."

Detective Rasmus stared at her again before writing some more things down on his notepad. "Miss Shotomoto, you knew that your mother's hearing was last night, correct?"

"Yes."

"Yet, you still decided it'd be best if you rescued your friend instead?" He pressed.

"Detective, you know that Mirianne is a hero in training, correct?" Aizawa asked, looking around inside of his suitcase.

Miri looked over to notice that there was nothing but a singular cat picture located inside the case. She sat back against her chair and rubbed her face.

Detective Rasmus sighed, as if Aizawa speaking was a significant burden to him. "Yes."

"Then you'd understand that rescuing others is strongly taught and encouraged at U.A." He closed his suitcase.

"I understand that Miss Shotomoto doesn't have a Hero's License." The detective began tapping his pen against the notepad.

"I believe a license isn't required to save a life. A Hero's License is only required if they wish to use their quirks in public to fight against villains. The rescue Mirianne took part in involved no such activities."

Miri remained silent. 'I didn't know Aizawa was a lawyer. I don't know what he's getting at by being here, or how he even found out about my arrest in the first place, but he seems to be able to keep up with the detective flawlessly. First, he took it upon himself to train me in private, now he's here trying to defend me. He's a remarkably good man.'

There was a knock at the door, and a young woman slipped into the room. She handed the detective a small collection of papers and whispered something in his ear. He glanced over the papers, a smile curling on his face.

"Shota Aizawa, right?" A dry laugh escaped him. "A Pro Hero by the name of Eraserhead. Let's see here..." Detective Rasmus looked up. "I see no mention of you having attended law school or having anything that even relates to a degree in law." He spread the papers out in front of them. Miri leaned forward and saw that they were documents that showed personal details about Aizawa. There was even a picture of him. "I believe your time in this room is done. Unless you'd like to come back in here when we're through with questioning Miss Shotomoto?"
