Miri stood outside of the Todoroki home, staring intently at the boy who was attempting to coax her inside.

"Come on, Miri. Please." He held the door open.

Miri shifted nervously. "You have a lot of siblings. And your father is..." She swallowed. "Are you sure you want me staying with you?"

"I wouldn't have offered it if I felt differently." He waved her in.

Miri sighed and stepped through the door, looking around.

Maybe it was the fact that Todoroki was right beside her, but standing in that house seemed to push a lot of weight off of her shoulders. She looked around, noticing the walls were mostly devoid of pictures, much like her own house. It was very clean and tidy.

But the house didn't really look like a home.

Todoroki wasn't used to having guests. Especially not a girl. Especially not Miri. What would they do? How would he tell his family?

He knew his siblings would be calm about Miri being here, but the problem was his father, Endeavor. The Pro Hero already didn't like Miri enough as it was, but knowing that she's the daughter of his arch-nemesis? It'll be a problem, but it'll just have to be one his father got over.

"My father is out right now. He had some business to attend to and he most likely won't be home for a bit. We have a few minutes to breathe." He shifted. "Are you hungry?"

Shyness filled Miri. "Uhm..."

"Nevermind. I'm not going to give you a choice." He dragged her to the kitchen where a pretty white-and-red-haired girl was cleaning dishes in the sink.

"Hello, Shoto." She wiped her hands off on a towel. "Who are you talking t-" She turned, and the rag slipped from her hand. A look of surprise was visible on her face as she stared at Miri. "Uhm...hi. Mirianne, right?"

If Miri could curl up into a ball and die, she would. "Yep."

"Oh, well..." Fuyumi took a deep breath and a smile immediately covered her face as she held out a hand. "I'm Fuyumi. Welcome to our home."

Miri stared at the hand for a second before a small smile grew across her face. She grabbed her hand. "Thank you."

"It's refreshing to finally meet you." She flitted over to the fridge. "Shoto has talked so much about you. It's kind of cute."

The boy in question cleared his throat, his cheeks a light pink. "That's enough, Fuyumi."

"I'm only teasing." She smiled. "Dinner will be ready in a few minutes. I hope you'll be joining us, Mirianne."

"Uhm..." Miri played with her fingers. "Call me Miri."

She adjusted her glasses. "No problem, Miri." She turned to Todoroki. "Go tell Natsu that we need to run to the store soon. We're running low on eggs."

Todoroki nodded and waved for Miri to follow him.

They walked together down the hall towards the rooms. Todoroki paused at a door and slid it open.

"Fuyumi wants you to go to the store and get more eggs." He poked his head into the room.

There was some shuffling, and a taller boy with white hair appeared in the doorway. "Does she want me to go now?"

"I don't know. That depends if you want eggs for breakfast." Todoroki turned to start back down the hall, Miri not too far behind him.

"Woah, wait a minute." Natsuo called. "You look so familiar to me." Miri turned to see him staring at her. He snapped his fingers. "You're the girl on the news. Maryanne?"
