(This is what the 'space tea' is supposed look like in this story)

"What time do you guys close?" A small brunette asked after ordering teas for her and her friends.

"We close at 10," I smiled at the young teen that reminded me of myself at the age of about 15.

She smiled appreciative as I handed her change and she went to sit at a table where the rest of her friends were and they giggled about boys and that they swore they were in love. So young, so careless and so naive.

I went to start working on their orders, 3 space teas, 1 green tea and 1 chai tea with soy milk. I looked up at the clock behind me as it read exactly 9pm. The little bell on the door chimed as it announced a new customer. A tall lanky boy about my age walked in, black clothing with black heavy boots, and a book in his hand. He sat at the booth in the corner and immediately plunged into his book not letting me see his face. After I finished making the 5 teas, I gladly took them over to the young anxious girls.

"Alright, 3 space teas, 1 green tea and 1 chai tea with soy milk for this lovely young lady." They all smiled except the one that frowned and said," My space tea isn't very spacey". I smiled and took out the space sugar out from my apron. I always do this. Leave 1 space tea unprepared so they can see the beauty and magic behind this creation. I tore open the sugar and poured it into her cup as the girls stared at me. "Watch this." I said as I placed a stirring straw in her hand. "Now stir". The owner of the tea's face lit up as she saw her plain brown tea turn into swirling sparkling colors of purple, pink, blue, and occasionally red and orange. I smiled at the girl and whispered,"Enjoy".I heard gasps from the girls as they saw the beautiful colors in the marvelous white tea cup.

That's why I love working here at Space tea, I love the way people react to the impossible. Especially the famous Space tea we have here at this tea shop. Before space tea, this place was pretty dead and yours truly had the idea of this tea at a young age. I was at a mere age when I had this idea possibly 10. I thought it'd be marvelous if we could have a small universe living in our own cup. Of course a cup of tea with high tech edible sugar also sufficed. A couple of tweaks here and there and bam, Space tea was created when I was 17. It's now been 2 years that I've been working here and this place has never been more alive.

I found my place behind the cash register waiting for a new customer but I always found myself staring at the black clothed stranger hiding behind his book.

"Is he going to order anything?" Asked my co-worker Emme.
"I don't know," I shrugged. "I'll go find out. I grabbed a notepad and walked towards this quiet customer as I thought about what I'd say.
Hi I'm Cora, would you like to have anything?
I reached for my pen," Hi I'm C-"
"Cora, hi can I just order something." He cut me off and i furrowed my eyebrows as to how he'd known my name. He looked up and God he was gorgeous. "Name tag", he said.

Would you like to have anything? coffee? Tea? Maybe father my children? God no, Cora focus.

He looked like he was trying to hold back a laugh. "Yes, what can I ge-"

"Just a plain cup of tea."

"Would you like to try our famous space tea?". I asked a little rushed and annoyed because he kept cutting me off and because I really liked seeing the customers reaction after Id pour the space sugar and I really wanted to see his reaction. I wanted to know if his eyes would light up or if he'd gasp. Who knows maybe he'd laugh at the stupid creation. I just wanted to know.

He stared at me for a bit as if trying to read me."Sounds stupid." He said as my smile now turned downward.

Jerk. You can't judge something without seeing it or experimenting it before your try it.

The corners of his mouth lifted into a smirk,"But I'll take it" he said as if to please me. I nodded not wanting to say anything and get cut off again and went back behind the counter and started working on his tea.

"So what'd you say?" Emme asked.

"Nothing." I said.

"What do you mean nothing?"

"He'd cut me off most of the time, already answering my questions which annoyed me a bit."

"That's weird, and sketchy."

"Trust me, I'm already trying to figure it out".

I walked back with his tea in one hand and the space sugar in the other.
"Here ya go." I placed the tea on the table.

He looked up at me as his brown locks shook and his eyes were of something sparkly like stars stolen from the universe or space, yeah i'd never seen eyes quite like these. Before I could continue staring at his soulful eyes he snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Well this doesn't look anything like space".
I handed him the sugar and turned my heel, not even wanting to look at his reaction. Just as I was about to leave, he said with a smug look on his face,
"Oh and Cora, it's a bit rude to call someone a jerk before getting to know them, darling".

-hi! So this is chapter one! Hope u enjoy babes! & don't worry you'll get too see more of this mysterious boy and why he always cuts her off(any guesses??)
