Jago's pov

After our small conversation that day, she closed up the store after I left since I was always the last one out of there.

And just like yesterday I was sat in the booth reading a book while Cora was cleaning off tables, since it was closing time.

The bell on the door chimed and a young man, probably two years younger than me walked in with bloodshot eyes.

Cora Cora Cora, I read his mind. What the hell does he want with Cora?

He came to me and asked," Where's C-"I nodded my head at her direction where she was oblivious to this alcohol smelling stranger. He walked over to her but they were 10 feet within and I put my ability to use.

"Cora." He whispered and grabbed her arm. She looked at up at him and all the color drained from her face as she stilled.

What. Why. How did he..? No. Oh my god.

She finally found her voice.
"What the hell are you doing here?" She demanded and got out of his grip.

"I.. I.. Well I came too see you baby." He cried.

"You're drunk Cliff, you don't want to see me." She frowned.

"Yes I do, I miss you so much, please come back, I've been thinking about you so much."

This enraged her. "Oh really. Were you thinking about me when you were sleeping with Ava!" She yelled. "Don't come back here expecting me to forgive you, when all you've done is cause so much damage to me." Cora spoke softly now.

This bastard cheated on her? How the hell can someone do that to anyone let alone Cora, she's the sweetest person and deserves more than this worthless jerk.

"Baby, I'm sorry, I really am and I miss you so much and I love you Cora."

She sighed. "Cliff you don't know how long I've waited to hear those words come from your mouth... but you're drunk and you wouldn't say these things if you weren't intoxicated."

He tugged at her hand, "Please just give me another chance Cora."

"I've gave you way to many chances Cliff, please just leave, I don't want to see you ever again." She proceeded to rip her hand from his harsh grip.

Honestly I don't know why I'm just sitting here. I should have walked out minutes ago. But I want to see how Cora deals with this prick of a guy she once called her boyfriend.

"You're right, your a stupid naive girl, I don't even know why I came begging for your forgiveness. I don't need you, you should know I only wanted you for sex and know I don't care about you, I never even loved you." He spoke harshly with venom laced in his voice.

I swear it took all my strength to still be seated in this damn booth and not have the urge to beat the shi-

"You don't mean that." She interrupted my thoughts of stabbing him countless times.

Her eyes watered up and spoke again,"You're just intoxicated and angry I understand, but I'm going to have to ask you to lea-" Before she could a finish, I saw him grab her waist and kiss her. She cringed and refused the kiss and his hand rose to what seemed like he was gonna slap her.

That's all it took for me, before I knew it, he was under me as I punched him countess times with bloody knuckles.

"Jago stop!" Her voice threw me off guard as it calmed me and I stopped momentarily. A punch came straight to my bottom lip and cliff somehow managed to push me off. We both got to our feet and were ready to pounce one another.

I was breathing rapidly and I felt the adrenaline course through my body.

"Stop! Both of you, stop it!" Cora screamed and ran up in the middle of us putting one of both hands against our chests. Just her touch warmed and calmed me. But then again it could be the rush of my blood.

"Please Cliff! Just go! You've done enough. I accept your apology just please leave, I don't want to see you again!" She pleaded.

He shrugged her off. "Whatever." He huffed and Cora helplessly cried as she saw him exit the shop. When she turned to look at me, her arms were around herself and she looked so fragile.
"I'm so sorry." She sobbed. "So, so sorry." What the hell was she sorry for.

Before I thought about it, I wrapped my own arms around her small body and she soon clung to me. I could hear her whisper "sorry" multiple times against my chest.

"It's okay Cora." I whispered against her hair. "S'okay."
