"CUZ THEY'LL SNATCH YOU BEFORE YOU GET THE CHANCE"
(Iris Johnson)
Shafts of light lept over the leafy horizon and poured the into the trios bedroom.
Nathan and Sarah's forms were peaceful, still entangled by slumber.
However, Leon's eyes were still wide open.
His body was in the same rigid position as the night before.
He had been waiting impatiently for the daylight's appearance and now that it had arrived, he was more than ready to leave.
Leon hadn't gotten a wink of sleep.
His mind and body were still on edge as anxiety and suspicions plagued his physic. He had never been so affected by a single man before.
There was something about his eyes.
Although his face was flooded with a smile, the fake enthusiasm didn't reach his stare.
There were mysteries bathing behind his irises.
Leon couldn't figure out what intentions were hidden within his gaze and quite frankly, he didn't want
to stick around to find out. With that thought, he rose from his bed and grabbed his weapon filled duffle bag.
He walked over to Sarah and Nathan, who were sound asleep.
He stopped at their bed frames and kicked the wood hard enough the shake the foundation.
By doing so, Nathan and Sarah's eyes slowly peeled open to find the source of their disturbance.
"We're leaving, now", Leon ordered as he yanked the blankets from their torsos.
This caused the pair to curl up, desperate to retain their body heat.
They yawned.
Leon signed, becoming increasingly uneasy.
"Hurry up"
Nathan looked up at him while blindly reaching out for his shoes, his eyes half-open.
"Okay, okay", he mumbled, barely awake as he tied his laces, Sarah doing the same.
The trio made their way out of the bedroom and through the main room.
Seeing the pile of chairs and shelves blocking their exit, Leon began pushing them aside.
This caused them to slam and break against the floor, creating loud thuds.
Nathan's and Sarah's eyes widened.
"What the fuck are you doing?", Nathan whispered as he shoved Leon away from the door, "We're meant to be quiet".
Leon frowned.
