In the middle of Japan, in the forest nearby Mount Mito, to be more precise, there were four mutant turtles running through the forest. Each one had a mask of a different color, and they seemed to be having lots of fun.

Not too far behind, there was a mutant rat following them, and he was with a small smile in his face as he saw the tots running around and laughing to their hearts' content. He knew they could do so, at least in that part of the mountain, since no one walked there.

Just then, one of them stops as he sees something unexpected in the middle of the trees. "Whoa... Guys, look at that." He says as he points at whatever he spotted. He has an orange mask, baby blue eyes and freckles on his cheeks.

As he spoke, the other three turtles got to his side and saw what he was talking about, and their eyes widened as soon as they realized what it was. "Wow..." One of them said. He had ocean blue eyes and a blue mask.

"What is it, my sons?" The rat asks as he gets closer to the turtles. "Sensei, look." Other turtle replies as he points at what they were staring at. He has a red mask, neon green eyes and a crack on the left side of his shell.

The rat frowns and crouches next to the turtles, and his eyes also widen as soon as he sees what his sons were staring at. It were three people, two men and a little girl, who seemed to be around the turtles' age. What surprised all of them was the fact that the little girl was training with one of the men just like he trained his sons.

"What clan are they from, Sensei?" The blue masked tot asks as he looks up to his father and mentor, who squint his eyes just enough to see who were they. His eyes widened a bit as he recognized the crest on their kimonos.

(The Murakami Clan? But how? They were gone decades ago, and were known as pirates, not as ninjas.) The rat thought.

"Sensei?" The question from the tot got his attention back to his sons. "I do not know, my sons. So I do believe we should leave before they spot us." He says.

And after the turtle tots looked at the little girl with sad looks in their eyes, they follow their Sensei home.

Timeskip

"But, father, why are we leaving?" The turtle in blue askes as he and his brothers see his mutant father pack up their things. They are a bit older, but they are still children.

"Because it is not safe here. I should never have returned to Japan, it is too dangerous for us." He replies before picking up the one in orange. "Come." He says as he leads the way out of the forest.

"So, where are we going?" The one in red asks.

"To America." The rat says as he and his sons run away for safety.
