MAGNUS!

As Magnus was gaining consciousness, he was becoming more and more aware of his surroundings. He was definite that he was in the gard cell in Alicante. After a few seconds he hears footsteps nearing his cell, he really hoped it would be Alec; he could at least explain his husband the truth and the whole scenario. But they seemed like guards as they stopped near the door of his cell.
"Do you think the Inquisitor Lightwood will be informed about this?" the first guard asked.
"I don't know, though I think they should. After all for one, it's his husband involved and for two, he is the inquisitor. Personally, I don't think he'll let his personal relationships interfere in his duties." the other one replies.
"True. What do you think Magnus Bane would do such thing? I for one don't think he could do something like that."
"True that, and plus I've heard they are like his family. Why would he do such thing!"
"Yeah right, I'll inform Inquisitor Lightwood about it and be back."
"Do you think it's worth taking such a risk?"
"Yes, obviously. You are my boyfriend, if tomorrow something like this happens to me wouldn't you want to be kept informed about me, so if there is something you could do to save me cane be done?"
"Of course I'll want that. What are you talking about?"
"See similarly. Inquisitor Lightwood should also be informed. He is his husband."
"Yeah, you are right but come back soon and don't get into any trouble. I need you in my future."

Magnus didn't know he had tears in his eyes until they started to pour down his cheeks. Alec had done so much for nephilim with different sexualities, that Magnus couldn't be more proud. Magnus was so thankful for his husband's good deeds because now he was having one chance to explain Alec what had happened out there. He just needed one chance. He knew Alec will trust him, after all it was his Alexander. He knew his Magnus would not do something like this.

Magnus didn't know how much time had passed since the guard had gone to inform Alec about him being there, but it felt like an eternity had passed. He was emotionally so tired from all today's events that he was slowly dozing off in a slumber. It was then he heard hurried footsteps. And his most beloved sound:
"MAGNUS!" cried Alec while rushing down towards his cell.

"Sir you don't have much time slot before they understand you aren't there. I am extremely sorry to rush you." said a man, who Magnus presumed was one of the guards.

"No its fine. I'm just grateful that I would be able to tell Alec everything. So, thank you." Magnus said before his husband could yell at the poor guard for rushing him.

"Alec listen to me carefully." he continued knowing he didn't have much time and he needed Alec's undivided attention. "Azazel was right, Aloysius is extremely powerful. I received a fire message from him asking me to meet him today at the place I was found, the alley behind Michealsons' house. He killed Finn, Alec. Right in front of me and I couldn't do anything about it. He used a very ancient demonic curse, that was one of the first few languages in demon realms. I had just heard about it. Those languages being so ancient are also very strong and reversing them isn't easy or at times even possible. The curse he used did something to the magic I used to help Finn, instead or healing or retrieving him my magic sucked his immortality and his life from him. Whatever happens, do not let the other 3 out of their house the wards I've build are strong. He shouldn't be able to get through them. And you need to stay alert as well, no one knows what is going on in his mind."

Alec was still trying to wrap his mind around everything his husband had just told him. Aloysius had called Magnus to meet so that he could frame him for Finn's death? He hadn't even Finn's immortality to boost his own power. Alec couldn't see any benefit from what Aloysius had just done to Magnus. If Magnus was the one to try and use his magic to help Finn, it meant the last energy signature on body would be of Magnus's magic.

Magnus could see his husband was trying to take in all the information he had just shared. But they didn't have much time, so he decided to interrupt his husband's trail on thoughts: "Alec, you need to leave, the only way I could be saved is if we can track Aloysius, but whatever you do, DO NOT do it alone, keep Ragnor by your side. Approach him if needed. DON'T even THINK of playing hero alone. Don't worry, I'll be fine. You need to stay alert and safe."

"Seriously, Magnus? Do you think I would be able to stop worrying? I won't stop until I get you out of here, SAFE! I love you, Magnus, with everything that I am." Alec told him.

"And I love you more. Please stay safe." Magnus replied fighting tears. He didn't know why all this was happening, he had lost two most love people and now he was on the verge of being executed for the murder of the same people who he loved like his own family.

Alec turned to leave taking one last glance at the love of his life, who was behind the bars, being accused of murdering those two people who were a part of his family. A family that he had built in these centuries, who was nothing short of his own.

Later at Magnus and Alec's house:

After reaching home Alec just sat down on their couch trying to figure out why Aloysius had done all this. What could he possibly have had gained through all this? But above all was the question of how to free Magnus from those false charges. He'd have to call Ragnor to consult him upon if there was any way they could prove the presence of that curse so that Magnus wouldn't be held responsible for all the death of Finn.

A fire message interrupted Alec's thoughts:

Hello Alec,

I know you'd want to know about the curse to save your beloved husband.
Come and meet me in an hour.
I've heard you and Magnus had the favourite place near the Brocelind forest.
I think it fits, meet me there.
Alone.

Aloysius.
