Seriously?

Alec was just trying to contemplate whether or not to inform Ragnor, as there was no doubt that he was going to meet Aloysious. He needed to know why was this man torturing his husband so much. This man was the person his husband has prayed for, through all these centuries. If Aloysius was so cold towards Magnus then why even take so much of an effort to come to earth after these centuries just to make Magnus's life living hell?

There were so many questions swarming through Alec's head but only one was important at the current moment whether or not to involve Ragnor. Alec knew his husband would be furious if he did anything rash and didn't have any backup. At times like these he did miss Izzy and Jace; they would've enjoyed this kind of thrill. Though right now he had to consider his Magnus's warning about how powerful Aloysious was. Magnus might be a bit overdramatic at times but Alec knew this wasn't the kind of topic he should be doubting his husband on.

After a lot of weighing pros and cons he considered that maybe taking Ragnor wasn't so bad in the end. Glancing at the clock he saw he had 45 minutes which meant he had time to meet Ragnor and take him while explaining everything. Maybe Ragnor might know how to deal with everything.

After sometime at Ragnor's House:

Alec reached in a moment as he used Clary's portal rune. The angels had permitted her to keep the portal rune for the use of Shadowhunters; now it was one of the most widely used rune. It largely reduced the burden on Warlocks.
Usually Alec avoided using it, but today every moment counted. Though Alec was surprised when Ragnor dropped the job he was doing just at his site.

"I heard what happened to Magnus so I figured I'll be seeing you soon." said Ragnor

"Yes, I had just reached home after talking to Magnus when I received a fire message from Alyosius, asking me to meet at the openings of Brocelind forests where Magnus and I go for a breather when everything becomes too much to handle. We should reach within next few minutes." Alec explained.

"Okay let's go." Ragnor tried to open a portal as he said it, but was stopped by Alec who seemed to be considering something. He gave Alec a quizzical look, so as to ask 'what's going on ?'.

Alec just shook his head and said, "I just think that Alyosius has asked me to come alone, so I think he'll have way to check whether or not I come alone and the simplest way to do that is keep a track on warlock magic. Magnus and Aloysius himself being a warlock he'll know I'll get help from a warlock too; and if a warlock is coming then it'll be only logical that a warlock will easily opt for a portal first. I'll use the portal rune as it'll give out angelic energy. We'll get a bit far from the meeting spot and then walk for a few minutes. You should attack only if you feel my life is in danger, or do not engage. The less violence the better. Okay?" worked out Alec.

To say Ragnor was impressed was an understatement. Not for the first time Ragnor thanked all the ones responsible to entangle Alec and Magnus's fate into each other. He could clearly see the desperateness in Alec's eyes, yet he was working out every small thing in his brain so that he does not commit even a slightest mistake which can take away his Magnus away from him forever. The love Alec had for Magnus was crystal clear in his eyes.

With all the thoughts Ragnor just nodded to Alec, who opened a portal just few minutes away from Brocelind forest. He asked Ragnor to stay hidden in the nearby trees, so that he isn't just easily seen and can come to Alec's aid if needed.

Alec walked near the spot he and Magnus loved so much. As he was nearing the place,Alec's mind went back to the last time he was here; with his Magnus, his husband. As he reached he saw a figure in the corner of his eyes. He turned towards the figure.

He had an asian look which reminded Alec of Magnus and Asmodeus. He was taller than his Magnus, almost as tall as Alec himself. But there was something in his eyes, a look which Alec couldn't decipher. A look which he had seen Magnus's eyes too except for the fact that when his husband looked at him it gave a sense belonging and it warmed his heart with love and desire for his husband; but, now when Aloysius was looking at him with that it made his skin crawl, like something within him was telling him that this was so wrong and it made his insides churn.
