11- emergency room

"Looks like they are here." Jack says. I look up at Noah, "nooo" I say crying. "you'll be okay, they are gonna make you better." Noah says as he's looking around. The cliff drop was about thirty feet and there was a hill not too far away from where my car was. Jack started running up the hill to get the paramedics. "hey Emma can you tell me what hurts?" Sadie says gently. "my head, m-my le-leg, everything.." I say. Noah holds me even tighter. Sadie nods, "she's talking atleast." Sadie says to Noah. Finn, jack and two paramedics came running over. The paramedic bent down next to me, Sadie, and Noah. Noah was still holding me. "hello Emma, I'm Pete. I'm gonna be helping you okay?" He says. I shake my head yes. "so can you tell me what hurts?" He asks me, "head, leg and everything" I say. "young man, are you her boyfriend?" He asks Noah. "y-yes." Noah answers. The paramedic nods. "you guys are?" He asks everyone else. "I'm her best friend and so is jack, Finn is her brother." Sadie says. The paramedic nods. Another guy brings the stretcher closer to me. "okay we are gonna lift you on to here okay?" They say. I nod. They put my on the stretcher and out a neck brace on me. They put a whole bunch of pillows around my leg and they start bring the stretcher up the hill. I start crying even more. Noah grabs my hand as they push the stretcher. "so, one person can go in the ambulance, the rest of you guys can meet us there and you'll be able to go right on back with her." They say as we reach the ambulance. Noah and Finn look at each other, "take care of her." Finn says patting Noah on the shoulder. "we will be right there with you Emma!" Sadie yells. They lift the stretcher up and on to the ambulance. Noah comes in and sits next to me and holds my hand. I start shaking and having an anxiety attack, "calm down it's okay now." Noah says running his hands though my hair, "so Noah, right?" The paramedic says. "yeah that's me." Noah says. "Do you know how this happened?" They ask Noah. "all I know is that her car went off the cliff when she was driving." He says. The paramedic nods. "she's a very very lucky girl, most people wouldn't have survived." The paramedic says. "Yeah she's quite Lucky." Noah says. "okay Emma does it hurt if we elevate your leg?" They ask as they pick up my leg to put more pillows under it. I let it out a small sob, "yes". I squeeze Noah's hand. Noah takes out his phone. He texts Finn. Finn asked if I was okay, and Noah just told him I was in a lot of pain.

We finally arrived at the hospital. The took me down from the stretcher. It was kind of crazy like something from a movies. They were quickly pushing the stretcher yelling stuff, Noah was running by my side, Finn was trying to talk to noah, jack kept asking the doctor questions, Sadie was running by my side with her hand on the stretcher she was also on the phone with Millie telling her what's happening. They finally put us in a small little emergency room that just had a curtain in between us and the next person. Noah sat in the chair right next to my bed, Sadie was sitting at the end of the bed, Finn was standing at the other side, and jack was looking for snacks. The nurses came in. "okay since you have quite the blood loss we are gonna use this iv to help with your blood rush." She says showing me the needle. "no no no I hate needles...." I say slightly scooting away from the needle. Noah moves my hair behind my ears and holds my other hand. She puts the iv in and it hurts pretty bad. "see you did it!" Noah said. " okay so we can't take the neck brace off until we see what happened with your head, but since it's bleeding we are gonna our this cloth over it." She says as she toes a cloth around my head. "I look like Stanley Uris from it." I say. Everyone laughs a little. "this leg is pretty bad huh?" She says looking at it. You can see the bone sticking out, the skin looks pealed away, and there's dry blood all over it. "we will have a doctor come in to look at your leg." She says as she leaves. I start at to sit up and look at my leg. I haven't really seen it. "holy sh*t.." I say. "and that's why you don't drink kids." Jack says looking up from his magazines. I hold up my middle finger. "ahh that's the Emma I know and love." He says. We all chuckle a bit. The doctor then comes in. " hello Emma. I'm gonna be taking a look at your leg, this may hurt." He says pulling up a chair at the end of the bed, Sadie stands up so he can see my leg better. Noah stands up and sits on the bed next to me blocking my view of seeing the leg. I move my head to try and see it and Noah says, "nope you don't need to look." As he moves his body to block it. I roll my eyes and smile then lean back. I don't know what the doctors doing but it hurts, I whimper a little bit. Finn stands up and looks closely too. Jacks still eating. Noah keeps looking back at my leg then to me. "okay, so doesn't look like a cast or stitches is gonna do anything." The doctor says. "what!? are you cutting it off!?" I say starting to panic. Noah chuckles and puts his hand on my shoulder and tried to calm me down. "of course not, I think you just need surgery." He says. I sit up so quickly, "emma calm down your gonna hurt yourself even more." Noah says lightly pushing me so I'm laying down again. I can't have surgery, I'm terrified. "we are gonna take her to X-ray her head, we will be back." He says getting ready to push the stretcher, "it'll only take a few minutes." He says. Noah grabs my hand, "you'll be okay it's just an X-ray." He says then let's go. I nod my head and wave at them as he brings me to the room to get X-ray.
