it all started in a cabin... Noah schnapp

12- surgery?!

When I get back from the X-ray Noah is awaiting in the chair. "hey how'd it go?" Finn asks. I shrug my shoulders. "we don't know for sure but we are taking the neck brace off for now." The nurse says unbuckling it. "she is safe to sleep though and in about an hour we will transfer her to a better room" She says walking out of the room. I lay back in the bed and whimper a bit. Apparently Noah heard me. "what's wrong?" Noah says coming to sit next to me. "my head" I say putting my head on his chest. "well why don't you get some sleep, okay?" He tells me. "mhm" I say as I drift to sleep.  Noah puts his arms around me which makes me feel safe. I fall asleep.
*noahs pov*
I look down at Emma and realize Shes asleep. I gently kiss the top of her head and smilie. Sadie comes and sits at the end of the bed. "I told you we would find her, alive." Sadie says. "Never had a doubt." I say sarcastically. "oh yeah mhm sureeee" she says which caused us to laugh a little. Finn looks over at us, "she asleep?" He asks. I nod my head. "Finally, poor girl needed it." He says looking back at his phone. Jack looks up and nods, agreeing with Finn. He then goes back to eating. I soon realize that Sadie takes a picture of me and Emma. "really!?" I say. "mhm really! look how cute!" She says showing me. I gotta admit, it was really cute. "can I post it please!?" She says begging me. I take a minute to think then say, " fine." She squeals and sits down to

Sadie sink: these two...💕 emma was in a accident. she's stable now. but Noah hasn't left her side for one second, and I honestly think it's the cutest thing..🥺💕

Then the nurse walks in. "hello, this is emmas room right?" She asks. I start to sit up, gently putting a pillow for Emma to rest her face on instead of my arm. "yes it is." I say. "okay what's your guys relation." She asks. " boyfriend." " close friend." "close friend too." " brother!" We all say. she nods. "Okay, we got a bigger room upstairs, There's also more space for all you...children." She says walking over and starting to wheel emmas bed. Sadie quickly grabs her bag and jack grabs his stuff and we all speed walk after her. As we were walking Jack keeps dropping his bags of foods and me and Sadie can't stop laughing at him. We all get in the elevator with the nurse and emma. Somehow emmas still sleeping. Once we finally got to the room there was two couches. Jack and Finn took one and Sadie took one. I took the little chair that's next to emmas bed. "there will be a doctor in shortly with the results." The nurse says as she walks out. I sit next to emmas bed and hold her hand. I heard Finn on the phone. He said my name. "yeah noahs a wreck." He said to whoever's in the phone. "am not." I say not even looking at him. He chuckled. "sure you aren't bud." Finn says. I look back over at Emma and hold her hand again. After about five minutes she lightly squeezes my hand. I perk right up and look at her. Her eyes are barley open, she looks pale, and she just looks like she's in a lot of pain. "you okay?" I say in a gentle voice. "mhm, can you c-come up here.?" She asked. I stand up and lay down next to her in the bed. "yeah of course, I'm here." I say putting my arm around her. Finally the nurse comes in. She holds a clipboard. "so, the xrays came back. She has a severe concussion. Luckily no brain damage." The nurse said. Finn stood up and started talking to her. "Okay that great, what can we do for that?" He asked. "well tomorrow she's having surgery for her leg, the surgery is a bit risky since she does have a blood loss problem and a concussion. But if it comes to the point where she needs more blood, she has a very common type." The nurse says. I put both my arms around Emma and asked, "why are you doing it if it's risky then!?"  "because she needs it for her leg, or else she could lose more blood or it could be permanently damaged." The nurse tells me. I nod my head and look back at Emma. "but it's midnight and I think you kids all need some sleep." She says hanging there clipboard up and walking out.
*emmas pov*
I look up at Noah. "noah I don't want to get surgery." I say softly. "It's okay it will make you better and your leg won't hurt anymore, I promise it's safe." Noah tells me. "Where will you be?" I ask him. "I'll be with you." He says playing with my hair. While I gently play with his fingers, outlining every little indent. Finn walks over to us. He leans over me,
"I'm gonna go to bed, both of you try to get some sleep. Goodnight Emma, love you." He said as he gently rubs my back. "night, love you too." I say back. Sadie walks over and tells us she's going to bed too. I hear jack say, "well I guess I'm going to bed too!" He says flopping his arms up trying to push Finn away so he had room to sleep. "are you?" I ask Noah. "not until you do." He says looking down at me. I nod and put my head on his chest. He puts both his arms around me and rests his chin on my head. I feel safe, for once. I don't care about my parents, my injury's, filming shows, or anything. I slowly shut my eyes and drift to sleep.
*noahs pov*
I hold Emma until she falls asleep. I want her to feel safe, she hasn't felt that in a long time. Once I feel her go completely limp on me I knew she was asleep. I looked around and saw that everyone else is too. I couldn't sleep. I was so worried for the surgery. But I know I can't show it or see it would scare Emma. I just look at my phone or stare at the ceiling till morning.
