After 8 long months of training with Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng, Xia could finally control her spiritual energy for longer periods of time.

She would train for hours,and at first punching the iron dummies without getting bruised was impossible but after some time, she could destroy them effortlessly.

She was currently sitting on a wooden post, trying to fix her bandages on her own as the rain fell.

Wei Wuxian ,who was walking down a corridor, notices and comes to sit beside her.

He grabs her hands gently.

Xia looks up at him with confusion until he begins to wrap them up for her.

"You've worked hard these past few months,but I hate to see you bruised your pretty hands so badly."

Xia smiles a bit.

"They'll heal in time. Training is more important ,and thanks to you and A'Cheng , I learned a lot."

She didn't notice the warm look that Wei Wuxian gave her when she turned to look at the rain.

They sat in silence until Wei Wuxian got an idea.

"I don't know if you heard but the Lan Clan is having their lecture soon and Jiang Cheng and I are going. Do you want to go?"

Xia looks up with wide eyes.

The lan lecture! If it's coming up then I must be getting closer to the plot of the show!

"Do you think Uncle Jiang will let me go?"

Wei Wuxian grabs her arm, being careful not to hold her healing hands.

"It won't hurt to ask! C'mon!"

The two go all the way to the main room of the Jiang Clan.

Jiang Fengmian was reading though some scrolls when the two teens came through the door.

"Uncle!"

Xia elbowed Wuxian and motioned for him to keep his voice down.

Fengmian smiles.

"What is it that you need childes?'

"Can A'Xia come along with Jiang Cheng and I to the Lan Clan lecture?"

Fengmian looks a bit skeptical since the girl wasn't quite ready. Though,he had seen her improve so much the past 8 months. Maybe...

He turns to her.

"Do you really want to attend the lecture?"

"Y-yes sir! More than anything! I'd love to attend the Lan Lecture and gain knowledge from the great clan leader Lan Qiren."

Hah, great clan leader my ass. I just wanna meet the rest of the guys and get this plot rolling!

Her eyes seemed to sparkle as she speaks,not surprising to either male.

Fengmian stands up and moves to stand in front of the two teens.

"If you go along, you will go as an official member of the Jiang Clan."

Her eyes widened.

No way...I get to be in the Jiang Clan! I get to have an actual family.

Overwhelmed with happiness she jumps into Fengmians arms ,taking the older male by surprise but he pats her head gently.

Wei Wuxian doesn't say anything but smiles ,happy to have Xia as an addition to the Clan.
