(A/N:Hi everyone! I'm so sorry for such a late update. This semester has been really crazy and I've been busy with other activities too. This chapter will continue where we left off last time and for references, just look back towards the end of episode 8 and into episode 9! Xia sighs in exhaustion as the group stands at the bottom of the cave.

'I swear this is the most physical activity I've EVER done."

Huaisang holds onto her as she holds onto Jiang Cheng as they walk through the darkness.

Some torches are lit so they can see that they've reached a part of the cave where there's water that glows blue under neath.

If it was any other situation ,Xia would have cracked a joke about going skinny dipping ,but right now she was pressed up against Jiang Cheng who was glad that it was too dark to see his flustered face.

"What the hell are you all standing around for? Get in there now." Wen Chao commands as Jiao Jiao clings to his arm.

Xia moves away from Jiang Cheng so she doesn't look like Jiao Jiao ,who's clinging to Wen Chao, and frowns when she spots a dark rock like object in the middle of the water.

'Ah damnit.'

"Master Wen,you should at least tell us what we're hunting for. So we can deal with it together," Jin Zixuan tries to reason, only for Wen Chao to smirk evilly in response.

"I'm telling you all for the last time. I give the orders." He pokes Jin Zi Xuan's shoulder for emphasis and adds,"You execute. You are working under my commands,so don't tell me what to do."

"Ugh, if that bastard even thought about touching me, I'd push him right into that stinky water. Maybe the damn monster will eat him," Xias says loud enough for Huaisang to hear her ,as he grips her shoulder. "Shh, d-don't be so loud, Miss Xia." He then looks around wearily, a chill going up his spine at the dark atmosphere.

"What kind of monster are we hunting? It's been two hours and it still hasn't shown up."

"I hope it's not too difficult," Jiang Cheng voices and Xia bites her lip.

"Tch, why is it taking so long to find it." Wen Chao suddenly says, and Xia looks up to see he, Jiao Jiao, and some Wen clan soldiers are on a ledge above them.

"Go hang someone up and let them bleed out to lure the monster out," He orders with a smirk, "I wanna have some fun." Jiao Jiao smirks maliciously and looks down at the crowd, and doesn't hesitate to point at Xia and Mian Mian.

"Just take one of them. Or both."

Mian Mian gasps in fear and Xia narrows her eyes as she sees Wen Chao hesitate.

"Those two? Eh-" he looks at his mistress with fake innocence, bringing her closer. "Why don't we choose someone else?"

Jiao Jiao holds onto him and whines ,"But I don't want to. They're the ones I pick. Why?are you still hung up on them?" She presses her chest further up against him and the sight makes Xia want to throw up on them.

'Ugh, can they not. This isn't that kind of show.'

The last straw is when Wen Chao orders the guards to grab them. Mian Mian tries to hide behind some Lan Clans members but they move away in fear. Wei Wuxian moves to protect them but Jiang Cheng holds him back.
