"Rock, paper, scissors!"
Baro showed his two fingers while Sandeul showed his palm. The younger shouted and smiled in triumph. Sandeul rolled his eyes and stuck his tongue out.
"Start your story, please." He said in annoyance.
Baro nodded his head and started.
"I was sent to a private institution when I was 5. There, I met a friend named Gongchan. He's smart, and diligent too. I always admired him, but guess what, he betrayed me when we entered primary school."
"He told me that he'll go to the same school as me. But, it turned out that he moved out of the country before the registration day." Baro sighed.
"I feel betrayed."
"Just because of that one childish thing?" Moonbyul raised her brows. Baro shook his head as a no, "There's more. That is just the beginning."
"His family decided to go back to Korea after 9 years. To be honest, I've already forgotten about him. Plus, after my parent's divorce, my life is not the same anymore. I moved from here to there, never had a chance to stay in one place."
"Do you get it? I have other things to worry about instead of him and he suddenly appears out of nowhere, saying that he's sorry. Like, huh?" he shrugged his shoulders.
"I told him that it was okay since I no longer cared about it. It happened when we were kids, there's no point in bringing it back. But he kept saying that he's sorry for leaving without words and to make it up, he offered me something."
Sandeul suddenly scoffed, making all of their heads turned to him. "What's that for?" Baro asked.
"This friend of yours is brilliant. I bet you accepted whatever offer it was." Sandeul said and laughed. Baro rolled his eyes, "You do know me well, brother."
"Anyways, he said that he would help me to solve my problems. I was young and being the old dumb me,"
"You're still dumb." Sandeul interfered, but Baro chose to ignore him.
"I accepted his offer. He helped me ran from home and let me stayed at his apartment-without his parents knowing. I was happy for a short amount of time, but it started to get boring. I couldn't get out of that place freely since his parents might see me and get suspicious."
"Eventually, I gave up and went out of that place and went back home, but my mother was gone. I didn't know where she was, but it's not like I care. So, I went to my sister's place." Baro said, and Sandeul's jaw dropped.
"You have a sister? I-I have a stepsister?"
"You didn't know about it? Are you guys sure you're siblings?" Jin blinked his eyes twice.
"It's not Sandeul's fault that he didn't know, I'm the one who decided to stay silent about it," Baro confessed. "Besides, I don't even know where she is right now. Remember the girl trainee who went missing 6 years ago?"
"Which one?" Ken asked. There were a lot of people who went missing for these past years.
"The one that they called the gem of WM Entertainment, I." Baro clarified. A series of gasps filled the room.
"That was your sister? Oh my God, what's happening with this world?" Ken shook his head in disbelief. The others were still trying to process what they heard, especially Sandeul.
"Anyways, I went to Yoonji's place, and fortunately, she let me stayed with her even though we're not that close." Baro continued. "So, I stayed, but I guess the world hates me. After a few months of living together, one night, she didn't come home."
"At first, I thought it was normal because sometimes she would stay at the company's dorm with other trainees, but the thing is that she would always tell me if she's going to do that. That night, I received no calls or messages from her."
"I started to get worried and went out to look for her. During my search, I bumped into Gongchan. He had this malicious smirk on him when we met. He showed me Yoonji's photo and I was about to punch him when he said he's the one who took her."
"But, I can't afford to do that, since Yoonji might be in danger. So, I asked him what did he want, and I honestly can't believe that he dared to answer it in front of my face." Baro gritted his teeth as the memory came flashing in his mind.
"He wanted to have sex with my sister."
Baro continued to tell that Gongchan already did it before he met him, and they had a fight that night until a resident there called the cops. They both ran away and Baro still had no idea where his sister could be.
They went silent for a moment. Baro stared at a blank space with no emotions written on his face while Sandeul was trying hard not to burst out crying.
"Sandeul, you wanna tell us your story?" Moonbyul turned her head to the said boy. Sandeul collected himself, "Yeah."
"Uhm, I'll tell you a story when I had to stay back at school for an additional class." he told.
"So, if I remember it correctly, I had chemistry tuition on that day. My friends and I were having lunch at the canteen when one of my crushes, yeah, I have a lot of them, came to our table and put a lunch box with a cute sticky note on top of it."
"But, there was no saying it's for whom. We argued for a while until the girl came back and took the box away. We were clueless about what happened, but we kept quiet. We got to our class and again, but this time another crush of mine, handily slid a small frame on my desk."
"I ignored it and when the class ended, she came back and took it with her. I was confused as fck about what's happening." he widened his eyes as he put his fingers on his temple.
"Anyways, when I was walking to the gate, a girl which was my 7th crush pulled my hand without warning. I admit I was blushing at that time." Sandeul's words made Baro rolled his eyes.
"She dragged me to the school hall and there, stood my ultimate crush, smiling directly at me." he paused and closed his eyes, grinning as he remembered the past.
"She confessed to me and my other crushes cheered loudly, causing the students who passed by to join them. I was embarrassed, but I do think it was one of the best days of my life." he finished and laughed.
"That was short and awesome!" Ken clapped his hands.
"And not depressing." Hani added and laughter began to fill the cozy living room. They were interrupted by a sudden ring, coming from Jin's phone. Ken grabbed the phone which was on the coffee table and passed it to the owner. While doing so, ha caught the name of the dialer.
'Jungkook'
