    "COME ON IN

"COME ON IN. SETTLE IN." Pam and I got in the conference room early enough to actually get seats at the table. I sat across from Pam, and she sat in front of Jim. I watched Karen walk straight by Jim when there was a perfectly good seat right next to him. The corners of my lips tugged down when I saw the hurt expression on his face. I want Pam and Jim together, more than anything. But, I'm not going to discourage him from being happy.

"There is something I would like to show everybody." Micheal turned on the TV and pointed at the picture from his time in Jamaica. "See this sign? No shirt, no shoes, no problem. This is an attitude I would like all of you to have right here." Pam looks perpetually dead inside and I'm close to being on the same boat.

"So what if e have to stay late and do inventory. No problem." Actually it was a problem. I'm suppose to see my mom today and I can't do that if visiting hours are over. My train of thought was cut short by Pam.

"-Oh, my God. Is that Jan?" My eyes widened and now I'm frantically searching this picture. Sure enough, there's Jan. In a bikini. In Jamaica. With Micheal. I turn to Neil with a bewildered look. Just as I was turning away, I'm pretty sure he smiled. "On the left." Pam directed still pointing at the image. Micheal was too quick to deny this.

"No. That's a German woman named Urkel Grue." Micheal didn't seem too convinced on his own fake name. Micheal quickly dismissed us and then ran into his office. I suppose that concludes our pointless meeting. I give both Jim and Pam departing grins, promptly walking out and rushing to my desk. I wanted to get as much work done as I possibly could. Happiness filled me to the brim once I sat down. The office's climate is very temperamental. Somedays it will boil you alive and then other days it will freeze your soul. Today was one of the days were it was on the cooler side. So, me and my big brain stopped at thrift shop last weekend and purchased a small enough heater to fit underneath my desk. I can deal with my hands always being cold, but my feet were a completely different thing.

Twenty-five minutes went by without a distraction. That's it. I heard a door slam, rapid footsteps, and then more doors slamming. I look up from my computer just in time to see Neil sprinting after whoever the first person was. My eyebrows furrowed in confusion. I heard a few inbox notifications go off and then a range of emotions. Giggles, gasps, full on laughs. I saw Jim get up and walk over to Kevin's desk. Andy and Meredith close behind. Me, being nosy and not having received the e-mail everyone else seemed to have gotten; I sneak over.

"Yikes." Jim says plainly. I tried to peer over Andy's shoulder but I was too short. I mentally curse past me for not wearing heels today.

"Already sent it to you, my friend." Jim looks back at Kevin nodding his head up and down before standing to his full height.

"Fantastic." He responds. Andy turns his head to Jim.

"Boring." Mr. Cornell calls out. "Call me if she rolls over." Now I have to know. Andy moves out of the way, I see my opportunity. I go to shoot forward towards the monitor, but am blocked by the broad chest of a smug man. I stick my bottom lip out at Jim and I look up to meet his face.
