Waking up in mid-air was crazy enough for me. Still bloodied, I was informed that I had only blacked out for a few minutes.

I decided not to say anything, seeing as we were very close to his house already. Settling my gaze on the bags of groceries that followed us from behind. While Keigo focused on keeping his balance in the sky and not crashing into the glass.

It was peaceful. The flight, the slight breeze, and how quiet it was up here compared to the crowded roads of the city. The view was extraordinary too.

"Here we are."

I shifted my attention back to Keigo. He had landed gracefully on the balcony, the bags right behind him.

"Why can't we go through the front door like normal people?"

"What's the fun in that?"

I sighed, knowing this was an argument I couldn't win, "You could put me down now. I think I'm good to walk."

He shook his head and refused, "No can do, love." With that, he opened the balcony door and closed it after we stepped in. Of course, he didn't forget about the food. "Let's get you cleaned up."

The feathers placed the bags on the counter and flew back to Keigo. It almost looked like it reattached itself onto his wings. His wings were a beauty up close and far away like it was enchanting.

"Like my wings that much?"

"Mostly just curious."

"You sure?" Looking over his shoulder to look at me. I was still occupied with his wings, "Cause I think Hawk's wings are majestic as fuck."

Whatever he said snapped me out of it and I immediately cringed at the way he was referring to himself.

"I hate when you talk about yourself in the third person."

He stuck out his tongue like a toddler, "Get used to it."

We reached the bathroom. He sat me down on the edge of the tub as gently as he could. I frowned seeing that the blood on my shirt had transferred onto his clothes too. Couldn't help myself but feel a little guilty. Not only did he save me but he carried me here and now he's gonna clean me up?

He opened the secret compartment behind the mirror of his bathroom. First aid kit in hand, he walked back to me, already searching through the box to see what he could find.

"I think I can do the rest by myself Keigo."

"I'm not gonna watch you hiss in pain and whine about how much it hurts."

"I'm not a baby. I can handle it."

"I know you can." His eyes visibly lightened up when he found the cotton balls, "But it'll make me feel better to know that I could help you."

I couldn't protest against that, he said it so softly too, with a light smile that could make anyone agree with whatever he suggested. Eyes on the ground, I nodded at his request. He was gonna end up doing what he wanted either way.

Stupid womanizer.

"Thanks love." He peppered my face with gentle kisses, enticing a smile from me. As soon as he saw it he pulled away with a smile that was ten times bigger. "It'll only hurt for a moment."
