The BMW must be here by now. I should've been home an hour ago but nope, Siphelele hasn't arrived yet. All my friends are gone and the only two people by the security s lounge by the gate is Jade and I. I flash out my smartphone and all she does is roll her eyes at how expensive the phone is. "Are you sure your father didn't steal a few millions from the mines bank account for that?" "mxm." "Haibo girl please don't 'mxm' me I'm asking because we need more people need to go to the Zondo commission." Well then. Her father was fired for leaving the mine on its knees just like how Zuma Left South Africa on its knees. And I repeat in my head ohh well then. –Silence.
The sun is five minutes from setting and Jade asks me as she stand up if its cool to take me home. Well, well, well!!! "Uhm...yeah please if you don't mind." In her most selfish voice she says;" I'm not doing this again I'm just doing you a favour." I hop in the car and her dad exclaims in my direction.
" Shishi! Your brother is in hospital. He was shot in the stomach 4 times." I throw a numb at him laugh like they pulled out Kevin Hart out of their pockets then I ask him to "repeat please". " You heard me! I may hate your dad, yes but his son and I go way back Shishi. His mom is my wife." I throw the biggest fake laugh with lifeless tears in my eyes. "WHAT! You are telling me that my brother is related to Jade?! Your telling me that I'm related to Jade?!" Jade has known about this so she wasn't as surprised. He went on to say;" You Jade....." BOOOOOOM! Jades father is in a bloody pool and is lifeless now. All Jade does is cry. I'm so numb right now I don't even know what to do. I comfort Jade and she's rushed home.
I beg to go to Siphelele and I'm rushed there. I cry for the first time in three years. " Siphelele! What's going right now?" " Nah bruh chill its going to be okay. Okay?" At least he isn't in a comma so he can talk and see. Good so far. "Why are people being shot left , right and center?" Is what I ask in a calmer tone now. " Dad. His the one killing all of us here." Huh? My dad? How? My mind goes crazy and my depression button is on.
" He found out that I want to start a new business around this area, so he also found that I wanted to work with Jades dad, who he states to have no issues with." " You know we don't have a good history with them .Why are you doing that to him?" " He never loved me. He Never called me his son. Never has he ever shown me the affection of a true father. Never wena Shishi."
Im so lost right now. My father can do this? How though? He has always shown me love though but why not his first born? Wow. He then continues to say;" Jade is your sister." I collapse and wake up the next morning next to my brother, in a hospital bed.
" Lets rephrase Siphelele. I know why I collapsed. Its not because of the news you told me, I had three weed muffins and 2 joints of weed. That's why." He laughs while on his phone. " We're safe here now trust me. At home, things are bad. Umama is held hostage by dad and your child has been taken to a safe house." I scream and tears rush doen my neck as the nurses arrive. " Angii!! Where is she?" Siphelele begs the nurses to leave so he can calm me down. He then calls Libra to tell him everything. I never though my life would come to this.
