Seven Tales

Humility's tale

Humility is the oldest one of the sisters. She is also one of the bravest, and most caring. She always puts others first, especially when it comes to her sisters. She is wise, almost as wise as Chastity, even though she doesn't have much knowledge of the world. She is good at solving problems and finding new ways to do things. She often complains when her sisters did something that she finds dangerous, but that is because she is protective. She would take a bullet for someone without having to think about it twice.

She is always very humble, as her name would suggest. People often compliment her about her appearance, which isn't a surprise, but she always would bow her head and compliment the other in return. She has light brown hair, and beautiful hazel eyes that always have this kind of softness in them. She has the perfect height too, somewhere around 5'9. Many people would try to court her, but she would always decline. Not that she thinks less of herself, but she also doesn't feel better than anyone else.

The day she was put on Earth was the day she started spreading modesty around the world. Before she was just a person with a name, but now her name had a meaning. She was so overwhelmed by the amount of pride that people had. All the arrogance and vanity that she felt almost drove her insane.
She knew that is was her job to put an end to that. All Sins and Virtues began to understand their meaning the moment they were put on Earth, because they all could feel one thing very strongly; the thing they needed to fight. And because the Sins and Virtues are opposites, it often becomes a bit of a battle.

The Sins and Virtues are able to teleport to reach different sides of the world, and they are invisible to the human eye, like a spirit, unless they make themselves visible in a human form. Humility and her sisters often stay together when travelling, because they are afraid that they will get in danger if they travel alone. Well.. Humility thinks that, the others don't really think about that.
Humility isn't a born leader, she is more of a follower. But because she is the oldest, and the most protective, her sisters let her lead. Although they often prefer to discuss things together before making a decision. They always stay in the same city together, but in the city itself they go their own way.

Humility always chooses to go to the more richer and more important people, or at least the people who think they were more important than others. The job itself isn't too hard; all she has to do is connect with the person's soul and spread humility from there. The hard part is that she can only do that for one person at the time, and there are a lot of people who need her help.

In the past, she would spend her days roaming around cities, towns and villages. She would try to make people into a better person but she never understood why, after a while, they would go back to their old self. And often she wondered why it was her who was chosen for this task, and why she was chosen. But she knew not to question Father, so she just went with it. But it was something that always stayed in the back of her mind. 

Unlike most of her sisters, Humility always wants to know how and why something is the way it is. She is a little curious, but a good kind of curious. She always seems innocent, but she has her guilty pleasures. She loves reading a lot, especially horror, which is a thing that she hid from others. And sometimes when she is inside someone's house to help them to get rid of their arrogance, she will try on some clothes or make-up, which nobody will notice anyway as she is a spirit. She likes making herself look more pretty. She secretly wants the luxury of having a closet full of clothes and the ability to dress to feel good. Maybe she is a little jealous, in that sense. But she tries not to be.

Does that make her less of a good person? Not really. She is a sweetheart, who always stands up for others and cares for them. But after a while you get a little bored with only doing good things, so you'll start to try some things. It gives you this rush and this feeling that you can't replace with something else. Humility is a good person. Or spirit, actually. But even she will get tempted. And there's nothing wrong with that.
