"Is it weird I'm not nervous?" Kaycee said as Bailey was doing Kaycee's toenails

"For you, yes," Bailey said "You've been almost a nervous wreck since you've arrived"

"I have not... Yeah you're right" Kaycee admitted "But I think all the nerves left my body, I never felt so relaxed"

*doorbell ring*

"!!!" Kaycee jumped accidentally kicking the nail polish in Bailey's hand, Bailey caught the bottle but the brush slapped her cheek a little which made Kaycee cover her mouth in shock and mortification

"Not nervous my ass," Bailey said as she put the nail polish away and used her phone to see the damage "You're lucky I can fix it"

"Sorry Bailey" Kaycee said

"Haha it's fine, I knew you were nervous about your first date with Sean," Bailey said

"W-What?!" Kaycee said

"I mean it's called a prom date or homecoming date meaning it's a date and it's also first with Sean therefore it's your first date with Sean," Bailey said "I think its the transitive property so shoutout to math even though it gives me property"

"Okay... I'm nervous again" Kaycee sad

"Bailey! Josh is here!" Kylie, Kaycee's sister yelled from downstairs

"Tell him to wait!" Bailey shouted back

"Crazy you have to go to the dance with him," Kaycee said

"I mean it is what it is," Bailey said with a shrug as she gets rid of the nail polish

Flashback

Kenneth tells Bailey about the dance singing performance

"Alright, so what I wanted to talk to you about was... I won't be able to go to the dance with you" Kenneth said

"What? Why!?" Bailey said, "You're not breaking up with me are you?!"

"What?! No no no no no no no no" Kenneth said immediately stopping that train of thought "This year the dance is allowing some of the singing students perform at the dance"

"...And you're going to perform," Bailey said putting the pieces together "Therefore you would need to be there beforehand and we can't do any of the early stuff"

"Yeah and I already accepted without telling you my bad" Kenneth said "I tried to get a later slot that way I can be with you until then but I'm early"

Bailey had a mostly blank face but just smiled "Ok!" Bailey said

"You don't seem upset? Is this one of those things where I can't read you?" Kenneth said

"No, I mean I would have appreciated you telling me earlier but you still told me before the dance, so I'm ok," Bailey said as she wraps her arms around him "Ken you love to perform who am I to even consider you not doing something you love just to hang out with me"

"Well I love hanging out with you," Kenneth said as Bailey rolled her eyes as Kenneth kissed her cheek

"We'll have a long summer romance together so I can live with not having you to myself for a few hours at a dance," Bailey said

"About that..."

Flashback end

"I mean it won't be permanent after Kenneth does his thing you'll have him right back to you," Kaycee said, "Why was he keeping it a secret from everyone?"
