The red light illuminated the faces of the two boys, who both sat in the front seats of the car. If there hadn't been a red light stopping them, there would be little to no light to show off any of their facial feautures.
The only sound was some song on the radio, which, even then, was faint. Thoughts were swirling around the inside of the car, but they weren't said aloud. Nothing was. At least, that is until Jungkook decided to speak on their day's events.
Or, at the very least, tease the elder.
He turned his head to look at Seokjin, who he hadn't realized was staring at him. Though it surprised him, it wasn't the first thing that had shocked him that night. Smiling, he decided to tease the male. "So.. you're straight, huh?"
Seokjin blushed a deep shade of red. Since he had been friends with Jungkook, he had gotten a lot more comfortable with joking, teasing, and, of course, himself.
Jungkook was such a character. Such a genuine boy. To Seokjin, he was perfect. He said all the right things, he was attractive, he had an amazing personality, and he was an accepting person.
He encouraged people to do better and he was always trying to better himself. It was nice.
Seokjin chuckled while he dropped his gaze down to stare at his hands. He scratched lightly at the skin on his hands, which had the light red glow to them. "Looks like Jaemin knows me better than I do."
Because Seokjin wasn't looking at Jungkook, he didn't notice the thin fingers tighten their grip on the steering wheel, the darkened eyes, nor did he notice the tongue poking at Jungkook's cheek.
Jungkook quirked a brow at the statement, but held back the jab he wanted to say about Jaemin. "Yeah, well, don't give him too much credit." He breathed out in an attempt to keep himself from getting upset about what the male had done. Clearing his throat, he continued on, "Take some time to figure yourself ou-"
"I think I already have." Seokjin interrupted, lifting his head to look at Jungkook, who was frowning at him. Licking his lips, he nervously smiled. He hadn't even noticed when he started to dig his nails into the palm of his hand, but when he thought about what he was going to say, he knew the pain wasn't nearly as bad. "Kook, what do you feel when you kiss a guy you like versus a guy you don't? Is it the same?"
Jungkook's eyes softened at the hesitant tone Seokjin's voice held. He glanced at the red light, which he was beginning to think was broken, before releasing the wheel with a soft sigh and turning to look at the elder male again. This time, however, he was actually looking at Seokjin.
And not in a turning to look at someone way. This was more of a 'I'm reading you and seeing you for you' kind of look.
A little reluctantly, he reached over and grabbed one of Seokjin's hands. He had seen the way Seokjin was digging his nails into his beautiful skin, but he didn't like it. There was no reason for Seokjin to be nervous or afraid around him.
If anything, he was the one who had to be nervous.
He lightly grazed his thumb back and forth on Seokjin's hand as he carefully thought over what he wanted to say. "When I kiss a guy just to kiss him, I like it. It's nothing special, I don't want it to go further, but I like it. When I kiss a guy I like? It feels.. it almost feels relieving. Like, I finally get to feel this special person's lips against mine! I can feel my heart racing in my chest, I'll feel butterflies in my stomach, and it's overall just.. it feels a lot better than when I kiss someone I don't have feelings for. I'm overjoyed to kiss my crush again, but I'm just fine with kissing the one guy. I'm sorry, does this make any sense?"
