"Jungkook..."

Jungkook shook his head as he looked over the menu. When he did that, another call of his name came. And another, then another, and another one. Finally, when the calls became most desperate, Jungkook exhaled heavily, set the menu down, and looked up to meet Seokjin's eye.

He picked Seokjin up for a kinda-date. It wasn't a date, but to Jungkook, it kinda was. After all, they were eating together, alone, at an expensive restaurant. But it wasn't a date. They were just eating out.. so it was a kinda-date!

Seokjin deflated a little in his seat, despite feeling extremely excited to eat out with Jungkook. His eyes nervously wandered around the table before they stayed on Jungkook's hands, since he was too anxious to hold eye contact. "I still haven't paid you back for our first day of school and our recent activities. Not to mention, the things on this menu are well over thirty-"

"Don't worry about it." Jungkook said calmly. And he was very calm, that it eased most of his nerves. Hell, Seokjin probably would've given up any argument right then and there if it weren't for the guilt he felt. Jungkook, seemingly catching onto that, huffed out a small sigh. "Really, it's not a big deal. I want to spoil you. Can't I just spoil you for today?"

Seokjin frowned deeply. If anything, his guilt was showing more than his excitement, which was hurting Jungkook's heart a little more than he liked to admit. "You said that last time. I can pay. I brought my wallet! It'll be my treat to you, yeah?"

Jungkook subconsciously poked his tongue against his cheek. He crossed his arms on the table and gave Seokjin a, 'really', kind of look. "So I pick you up and you treat me?" He asked, which showed a little more irritation than he intended to allow. The regret was instant. Immediately, he grimaced at how rude he had sounded and the guilty look on Seokjin's face. "Sorry.." He whispered as he pushed his palms against his eyes. "I want to pay. Please, let me pay."

The sound of silverware colliding with plates, people chatting with their dates or families, laughter, and feet lightly tapping against the carpet wasn't registered. After all, while most people were having a good time, the two boys little bubble felt a bit tense.

Seokjin felt bad. Jungkook was always paying whenever they went out. He'd offer, get rejected, and he wouldn't be able to pay for anything. Jungkook was the kind of person to spoil his friends and probably partners, Seokjin noticed.

But.. knowing his financial situation.. Seokjin couldn't help but feel bad. He felt bad that Jungkook was always paying. It didn't seem like he felt he had to pay, but he simply wanted to pay.

"Don't apologize. You did nothing wrong, Kookie. I.. you never let me treat you to anything." Seokjin whispered, his frown deepening. Seeing Jungkook's tongue prod at his cheek only made him feel worse. He hadn't meant to upset the male. No.. never in a million years would he intentionally do that. "I didn't mean to ruin this, I'm sorry."

Jungkook's defensive manner instantly melted away at the frown that was taking over Seokjin's face. Instead of getting defensive, he told himself to view everything from Seokjin's side. He didn't want to mess this up, after all. "No, you don't either. Jinnie, I like to spoil you. You're always so thankful and adorable whenever I do something for you and I like to see that. I don't want you to pay me back, alright? It's not fun if you feel like you owe me. You don't owe me anything, alright? Now if you pick me up, then I'll let you pay."

And just like that, the smiles were back, worries washed away, tense atmosphere bitch slapped out of the restaurant, and any hesitation gone.

Seokjin loved that about Jungkook. The younger male never failed to take his worries away with a simple smile and a few words of reassurance. Shit. He really was whipped for this kid, wasn't he?
