Years passed, millions slaughtered, and even more in a state of financial depression, there was even a rebirth of The Black Plague sweeping the world causing millions to suffer from the illness, which quickly proved to be fatal. The government eventually revealed one of their "solutions". This solution was to launch hundreds of shuttles into the deep dark and mysterious void known as space filled with billions, maybe even trillions of citizens on each one of these shuttles.... I remember that day. It seemed like just a few years ago that we got here but according to actual records it was over 300 years ago....cryosleep, heh, what are you going to do right?
