"All the days of my life I'll praise him, everything that I have na you gave to me baba." Victory by Eben played lowly from the church speakers as our women meeting went on.
Mrs Elaine, Bishop's wife is the one speaking.
"Please I beg us, we should not forget the contribution for mummy Mary's grand Father's burial, you can give your fee to mummy Evelyn, Thank you" She said "Mummy Evelyn please close us in prayer"
I stood up and closed my eyes "Lord I thank you for each and every one here, our families, for this ministry, for this successful meeting, I ask Lord you continue to lead us in the right way"
Everyone chorused "Amen"
"Lord lead each of us home safely, in Jesus name"
"Amen"
"The grace"
"The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the sweet fellowship of the holy spirit, rest and abide with us for forever in Jesus name, Amen"
I picked up my bag and started walking towards the door, where Ebimo has been waiting for me, Timipere will be coming home later because she's at the teenagers meeting.
"Mummy Evelyn! Mummy Evelyn!"
I turn around to see Mummy Stella walking fast towards me.
She's one of the women I relate with very well.
"Ah! Mummy Stella, howfa?" I answered her
"My dear, I dey oh, howfa?" She smiled after our hug
"Everything is alright" I replied her wondering why she called me since we've already talked earlier.
"Do you know where Timi is?" She asked
I was taken aback by her question alittle.
Why does she want to know?
"Yes, she's at the teenagers meeting" I answered simply "Anything?"
"Are you sure? I saw her with that boy" she said squeezing her face in disgust.
Which boy?
"What do you mean?" I asked
"I know she's at that the teenagers meeting but I saw her sitting on a boy's lap"
Alu
"Stella this joke is not funny oh" I warned her.
She looked hurt "Evelyn you know you're my friend, oya let's go and see it for ourselves" she suggested.
Good idea
"Okay, let's go" I waved at Ebimo "Ebimo I'm going to meet Timipere, wait for me!"
"Yes ma'am!" He shouted back as I and Stella moved towards the back of the church where the teenagers church is located.
"Let's sneak on them so they won't know we saw them" Stella whispered.
What kind of stupidity is this?
I refuse to reply but still followed her demands as we quietly sneaked inside.
Lo and behold, my daughter, Timipere is standing in front of a guy, it seems like she just stood from his lap.
Alu!!
"Timipere!!!" I shouted before I could stop myself.
Immediately she turned around at me shocked.
I have suffered!!
