Another school day, my spirits are really not high due to sunday's drama. I don't even know what part hurts me most.
The fact that Ebiere's mom is ready to stoop that low or the fact that mum doesn't trust me?
I walk to my class and sit down, it's currently empty cause everyone is at the devotion ground, I managed to skip devotion with the lie that I'm sick.
To me it isn't a lie technically, I am sick but not physically, I'm sick mentally and emotionally because of my mother.
I bring out my maths note and start revising my book, by third period Mr. Kelechi is giving us a test, at least I shouldn't fail this.
Why is it so hard to understand integration? Argh! Forcing myself to continue studying, I hear someone open the class doors, turns out it's Clinton, why isn't he at the devotion?.
"Hey Timi"
"Hi Clinton" I reply as he sits on his part of our desk "Why aren't you at the devotion?" I ask
"I heard a certain sit mate of mine is sick and I came to keep her company" he smiled.
"You really didn't have to bother though" I smile back
"Anything for my crush"
Is he drunk again? Did he quarrel with Ebiere?
The air just shifted from relaxed to awkward.
Shit
"Okay" I reply suddenly becoming extra serious with my maths note.
"You always become silent whenever I say that, why?" He asked
What should I say before?
"You have a girlfriend"
"But I don't love her, I love you" he replies
Woah, calm down lover boy
"That's a really strong word for your age" I reply
"Okay" he sighs "I like you, Don't you like me too?"
Suddenly Tochi and the rest of the class bursts in.
Thank you Jesus
"Hey babe" Amanda says as she walks to me. "We have big talk!!" She drags me out of my seat.
