Before you read: This story will include an OC of mine named Rose. Her main purpose is to help show more of Jayden's past. I wish the samurai series allowed Jayden to develop into a more interesting character and would show him as a person who is capable of making friendships/relationships.

Disclaimer: I do not own Power Rangers or Power Rangers Samurai/Super Samurai. The only thing I take credit for are my OC's. (if any)

Mike was in trouble.

He was in big trouble.

Mentor Ji had gone with Jayden to talk with Cody's father about any other powers that could help the rangers in their fight against evil. This left the remaining rangers (Mike, Antonio, Emily, Mia, and Kevin) to train at the Shiba House. However, like every other day, each of the rangers had chores they had to do along with their training.

Which is how Mike got himself into trouble.

He believed that he could do training while doing his chores. While his intentions were good, the two activities did not mix together. Instead of sweeping the floor with the broom, Mike had thought the broom could be a substitute for a training sword.

It was a good idea, at first, but when half of the broom was wedged in between the wall, Mike knew he screwed up.

"Umm... GUYS!" Mike yelled in a panic. He was so in trouble.

"Mike what's-" Kevin said while running to the corner Mike was at with Antonio, Mia and Emily. "Oh, never mind" he finished.

"Mike what happened?" Emily asked.

"Well I thought that I could do two things at once so I tried to train while sweeping. I guess it didn't work out as well as I hoped." He replied sheepishly.

"You are in so much trouble. How could you think that was a good idea?" Argued Kevin.

"Hey! I thought it was a good idea!" Mike defended himself.

Before the argue could escalate Mia stepped in. "It doesn't matter now. We need to clean this up before Mentor and Jayden get back." She said.

And that is how the Rangers spent the next half hour. As they were cleaning up Mike's mess, Antonio noticed a small wooden box wedged in between the wall.

"Hey guys, check this out." He said, calling the others.

"Is that a box?" Emily asked.

"I think so." Replied Kevin. He pulled the box out of it's location. Whoever stuck the box in here wanted to make sure it stayed hidden.

"What do you think is inside?" Asked Mike.

"I don't know. Maybe we should open it?" Replied Antonio.

"Are you sure? It looked like the box wasn't meant to be opened. I mean, it was in the wall." Mia reasoned.

"You might be right, but this also might be something important." Kevin replied.

And with that the rangers found themselves in the main room, trying to open the box. The box was a long wooden rectangle. There were no decorations on it but it was beautiful and traditional. The only thing on the box was a standard lock. Which may have proven to be a challenge, but when Mike quickly asked Mia for her bobby pin they all knew he would get the box open.

"Almost there..." Mike started while picking the lock "and got it!" He said triumphantly.

Kevin opened the box while the rangers circled around it, eager to see what was inside.
