Chapter 1

Zane's POV

I sighed as I signed the last document and leaned back in my chair running my hands down my face. I still haven't found my mate and its been almost 7 years since I turned 18. I'll be 25 in just under 8 months and my wolf and I are desperate for her.

The doors to my office slam open causing me to growl and lock eyes with my sister who looks pissed. I notice my best friend Weston smirking behind her as she curses him under her breath.

"What do you want?" I ask as my sister as she plops down on the sofa and kicks her feet up.

"I want him out of my shit for the next 8 months before I decide if I am going to accept his proposal and become Queen." She grumbled as Weston's smirk grew.

"Come on Angel we both know you are just dying to accept me and finally get pampered and stop putting yourself in harms way." I groaned as I knew both my sister and Weston well and this was not going to end well for him at all.

Eva's head snapped up and glared at him before smiling sweetly and I scooted back knowing this was gonna be a bad one.

Weston being oblivious to her brewing anger only saw her sweet smile. She walked up to him and only came up to his chest. "Weston my love?" She asked innocently and sweet and i watch my best friend fall into the trap.

"Yes Angel?" He replied as she trailed her hand up his chest and brought his head down to her.

She licked his ear causing me to cringe before she whispered in it, "I'm not the one that needs protecting."

I counted to three as she grabbed his head and slammed it against the wall before spinning and kicking him in the face and sauntering off as he laid in a bloody cursing heap.

I couldn't hold back the laugh as I watched him reset his nose for the 100th time. He always does this and pushes my sister to far causing her to hurt him just to prove a point. It doesn't matter that she has been protecting him since she was 7. Or the fact he found out she was his mate 6 years later and she refused him then.

"Damnit dude why does she always go for the nose?" He cursed again as I shook my head.

"Why do you insist on instigating her when she has saved your ass how many time? She will come around bro just give her the space she wants and stop following her like a lost puppy." I chuckled at him and he gave me his signature smirk.

"Okay how about for the next 8 months you, me, the triplets and Sammy all go on a road trip to all the packs? I have to do meet and greets and stay at each for a few weeks to a month before I become King so?" He asked with his big green puppy dog eyes.

"Ahh fuck it let's do it."

Before Weston could even celebrate Storm walks in. "Let's do what?"

I internally groaned as Weston began telling her our plan. Don't get me wrong she's a sweet girl but she has been trying way to hard to get me to be with her especially since I am waiting for my mate and I see her as a sister.

"I want to go too!" She cheered as Eva came back with my parents.

Pretty soon we explained everything again and my mom instantly agreed. "That's a great idea! Hopefully you, the triplets and Storm can find your mates!"

So we spent the next few days finalizing everything and Eva would be joining us in a week as her heat was expected in the next few days.

We all met up at the Castle and Weston was not his usual cheery self as Eva wasn't there and he knew she would be going into her heat. We had planned it so we would be doing a loop first up would be the Valley Pack followed by the Desert, River, Lake, Ocean, Mountain, Iron and Plains Packs. We were skipping the Forrest Pack as it was my cousin Samuel's and we had been there a million times.
