Chapter 13

Lucky's POV

One year later

It has been a crazy year and I still cannot believe I have been I have been free for almost two years. It has been a whirlwind that is for sure as I learned who I am. I discovered my love and talent for painting and it has helped me through a lot of my trauma. Rain has also helped me a lot by catching most of my memories. Granted even with her gift I still have nightmares both old and new.

Zeke has been my rock through it all though he makes sure I know how much he loves me. He has formally made me his Luna about nine months ago as I was finally ready to accept the position. We have yet to move past just kissing as any time things heat up I either freeze or have flash backs and pull away. It has been getting better as I hardly ever flinch at his touch and have even told him to stop asking if he can kiss me and to just kiss me.

My latest heat was nearly six months ago and he has been giving space the past few days since my next heat will be here any day. I have been nervous as I wanted this to be my last heat. I have been getting better with not freezing or having flashbacks with Zeke but him being the gentleman he is always stops before it gets to far.

Finally having enough of my nerves and the distance I called Eva for help. "Lucky! How have you been?" She asks as soon as she picks up.

"I want to complete the bond but have no idea where to start." I blurt out knowing if I didn't I would lose all nerve to ask her for help.

"I'll be there in an hour." She replies as the phone goes dead and I am left confused and even more nervous.

True to her word she arrived exactly 57 minutes and 23 seconds later not that I was counting or anything. Even more to my surprise she had twenty guards with her and I cast her a surprised look. She shook her head as she turned to them. "You are dismissed unless you want to hear me talk about feminine problems and private moments with our mates."

Instantly all their eyes widened and they left us alone in my room. Zeke has been staying in the guest room the past few days afraid of my heat coming at night. She then looks at me with a smirk and pulls out a bag that I did not see her bring in. "Let's get you mated."

I was shocked and flustered at everything she brought but as she explained the reasoning behind each thing I became less flustered and slightly embarrassed at my lack of knowledge. She made me shower and shave before doing my hair and helping me choose an outfit. She had set the room up while I was in the shower and just before she left she hugged me tightly.

"I am so proud of how far you have come. What you have overcame would kill most people and you wear your scars like diamonds. Whether or not you complete the bond with my brother tonight or a year from now you will always be a sister to me and an aunt to my pup." My eyes widened in shock and I tried to hold back the tears.

"Y-your pregnant?" I asked and she laughed.

"Yup, we decided to try for pups again and we just found out today I'm three weeks along. But this isn't about me, you go get your mate. Call me tomorrow!" She hollered as she left the room.

I waited a bit trying to calm my nerves before I finally built up the courage to link him. "Z-Zeke c-can you come to the room. I need your help please."

He responded almost instantly. "Is everything alright? Did your heat come?"

I sighed before responding, "No it did not come and everything is fine can you please just come here."

He must have felt my anxiety in the link and he never responded. He entered the room a few moments later.

"Lucky are you sure your alri...." He never finished his sentence as his Ruby red eyes landed on me.
