Lucky's POV

I was terrified one the inside but I knew from my training to not show fear on the outside. I kept my face blank as we circled each other waiting for one of us to make the first move. He of course wasted no time in lunging for me and I rolled out of the way while sending a kick to his stomach.

I was slightly shocked I managed to do that but what scared me was how pissed off he looked. He kept coming at me even harder and I managed to block or dodge most of his hits except a few. I even hit him a few times and split his lip open while at least cracking one of his ribs.

He finally had enough as he shifted into his large mud brown wolf. I shifted as well into my black wolf right as he jumped at me. I barely missed his attack but he managed to claw my back foot slightly. It stung but I had been through worse pain.

The fight seemed to last forever with both of us inflicting damage on one another. I had several claw marks and one really bad one on my ribs. He was just as bad and was limping as I had bit down on his back leg breaking the bone.

We were both getting tired and I knew it was only a matter of time before this was over. He lunged at me again but I was too slow this time. He landed on top of me as he grabbed the scruff of my neck trying to make me submit. I just snarled and snapped at him refusing to be his mate. I would rather die than suffer that fate.

This seemed to only agitate him as he clawed at my sides causing me to let out a whimper of pain before snapping at him and grazing his cheek. I was so distracted my his claws I didn't realize he had positioned himself to enter me. My eyes widened in fear and I fought with whatever strength I had left. His grip tightened as he dug his claws into my sides effectively pinning me.

Just as he was about to enter me I heard the voice. Roll!

I did just that right as he thrusted forward causing him to miss and slam into the dirt. He howled in pain and let go of my neck. Without wasting another second I latched onto his throat and shook my head.

It only took a few shakes and some well placed claws for both his throat and junk to be ripped out. He collapsed dead on top of me. I was exhausted and the blood loss was finally hitting me as I was forced to shift back.

It took seconds for Zeke to rip his dead body off me and gather me in his arms. Tara was right there next to him checking my wounds.

I saw their lips moving but I was too out of it to understand them. I linked both Tara and Zeke. "I did it. I killed one of my attackers before he could rape me."

They both looked at me with sad and proud eyes and I locked onto the collar Tara was wearing. "Tara Sandstorm I release you from your collar and give you your freedom."

As soon as the words were said the collar unlocked and fell to the ground. I looked at Zeke and placed my hand on his cheek. "Zeke," I whispered and he smiled with tears in his eyes.

"Lucky, I am so proud of you. Just hang on and we will make sure you are alright. I miss you darling." His deep baritone voice was music to my ears as he picked me up and rushed me off to I'm assuming the medical cabin.

I nodded my head as my eyes began to close. I was to exhausted to keep them open any longer as he set me on a bed. Just before everything faded I heard his voice. "Don't leave me Lucky, I love you."

After some time I went to roll over only to groan in pain as my side was on fire. I felt sparks on me as Zeke gently eased me back onto my back. "Easy darling, your sides are still healing."

At his voice I opened my eyes and looked into his deep red eyes. "I-I love you too." I rasped out as his eyes widened.

He opened and closed his mouth several times before he finally spoke. "Can I kiss you Lucky?"
