i've been hanging out with colby a lot more. he's my best friend but i think i have feelings for him. he told me to meet him at the cafe we always go to. i was about to walk in when i saw him talking to a girl through the window. they looked really close. like they were dating. maybe that's what he wanted to tell me. he saw me outside and his expression changed completely. i was upset and it was like i was in a hallmark movie or something because it started raining. i ran away from the store and he ran after me. "avery, wait!" he yelled. i just kept running away. i didn't wanna talk to him. "can you please stop? i need to talk to you!" he yelled again. i stopped and walked over to him. "what?" i said. "i- well.. i'm- i um-" "i'm standing here in the rain getting soaked so hurry up and spit it out!" "i love you!" he yelled. "what?" "i love you. i'm in love with you." i didn't know what to say so i was silent. he was about to walk away when i grabbed his face and kissed him. my first kiss in the rain. i pulled away and said "i feel the same." he smiled and kissed me again. who knew kissing in the rain could feel so good??
