my best friend tara texted me and asked me if i could come over. i obviously said yes but i thought it was weird because it was almost 2AM. she texted me saying that she had two people there. her new boyfriend and his best friend. after about 20 mins i got there and knocked on the door. she unlocked it before i got here. "it's unlocked!" she said. i walked in and i heard two other people's voices. one of them kinda sounded familiar?? i walked around and found them relaxing in the living room. i looked and saw their faces. holy shit. "hi jules, this is my boyfriend jake and his best friend colby." i brushed off everything and just acted like it was a normal hangout. we got REALLY drunk.

i called an uber and since colby was going the same direction as me we shared the car. a black car pulled up. we got in and it started driving home. my destination was first. we were about to get there when he asked me something i thought i would never hear. "is it wrong if i come up with you." we were both really drunk and stupid so i shook my head and the next thing you know we are in the elevator heading up to my apartment. we were almost on my floor when we kissed. i was initially shocked but i didn't pull away cause even though i was drunk i was enjoying it.

the elevator opened and i pulled away. "um that's me i should go." i said quickly and left. god i cant believe that just happened. the next morning i woke up and tara said she was coming over and bringing jake and colby. shit. eventually they got here and i opened the door. i said hi to tara but i acted like colby was invisible the whole time. as if i never saw him. i was still trying to comprehend last nights events. unfortunately, ignoring him ended up with me trapped in my bedroom alone with him. "hey i get why you're ignoring me. last night was my fault. i was drunk and stupid, i'm sorry if it made you uncomfortable. it was just in the moment but if you would like, i want to start over and become friends. put the past behind us. all of it." wow. that was... wow. i nodded. "yeah i'm fine with that."

fast forward a few months, me and colby are best friends now which is kind of crazy. who would've thought?? anyways we're going to a party tonight. it's jake's party. i don't know what's it's for though. i think he just wanted to throw a party to be honest. colby said he had something to talk about with me which honestly makes me nervous but i'm also a little excited. who knows what it could be about??

i got to jakes party and as soon as i stepped in colby pulled me aside into his room. "jay listen, i never fall in love but for some reason, you showed up and .. well i did exactly that. i cant get enough of you. you are my favorite person in the world. you mean so much to me. you're my everything. i'm in love with you." i was shocked at those words. i was just trying to process it. wow that was crazy.

"i uhm... wow. that was a lot .. i love you too." "you do?" "yeah of course. i mean i love you as a best friend obviously but i also love you as more. i'm in love with you too. you are everything to me." we both smiled at each other and kissed. we didn't even have to get drunk this time!
